I recently visited the new Printers Row Coffee on Kingsbury and was extremely disappointed by their lack of hospitality. As a parent from the nearby school, I was shocked to learn that our brief parent meet-ups (today was a group of 8 people) are no longer welcome here because we were explicitly told we were disrupting a handful of individuals who treat the coffee shop as their personal co-working space, occupying seats for hours on end while nursing a single cup of coffee.
People are, of course, welcome to bring their work there, but fostering a sense of community among local parents should be equally welcome. We have been mindful to reach out prior to visiting with groups to ensure we don’t impose a strain on their employees and so they are prepared. Theirs is a short-sighted policy that alienates a significant portion of the neighborhood, especially when considering that a trampoline park will soon open up across the street. I can only imagine how many families will choose to take their coffee and snack purchases elsewhere.
If Printers Row Coffee wants to remain relevant and respected in the community, they should seriously reconsider their priorities and amend this policy. Until then, we'll be taking our business—and morning coffee meet-ups—somewhere...
Read morePrinter’s Row Coffee deserves a one-star review due to their disappointing approach toward community engagement and poor service. Despite being conveniently located, the café staff explicitly informed our group that we were not welcome to hold our meetings there because of their dislike for large crowds, even though our gatherings last for only about an hour between 8:30-9:30 am. When one of the group members reached out to the owner for clarification, they confirmed that they do not wish to have any business from our groups and suggested we find another venue for our meetings. In addition to this unwelcoming attitude, the service is consistently sluggish, and the food quality is underwhelming. If it weren't for the location, our group would not consider it as a meeting...
Read moreBig fan of Printer’s Row Coffee company. Since 2018 I have brewed their coffee at home, and gotten coffee and pastries at their other location which has always left me with good memories. But I am gagged by their new location. The attention to detail is gorgeous- textures, negative space, natural light, patio, AC, plants, easily accessible, clear menus, and kind service just to name a few things. Today even the playlist was perfect. I ordered an iced matcha latte with macadamia milk which was perfectly balanced, silky, and smooth. I also got a cup of their brewed coffee, and although I did not catch its origin, I enjoyed it! It was aromatic, had some brown sugar notes, and was dialed in nicely. 10/10 would recommend, and next time I’m in the neighborhood I...
