Let me leave my review before I forget and I won't ever forget this night. So today I went in because I had to use the ladies room. The Manager I am assuming was Very Rude and disrespectful. I was Hungry, I am Expecting and I've been working for 8 hours straight, and I told the cashier this. With that being said I had to find a ladies room....
I asked to use their bathroom and I was told there was no Public bathroom, fine. I wasn't just gone use the ladies room, and buy nothing, which I wasn't told I had too. Even though I was told I couldn't use the bathroom, I still ordered a slice of pizza, and then I was able to use it. Thank you.
They didn't have pepperoni, so I ordered sausage and cheese. The pizza was Not good, and it was not hot it was room temperature. It was a lot of people in their sitting around, lounging around, and watching the basketball game, had their feet all laid out and wasn't eating, and they weren't rushed to leave either.
I felt I was treated poorly, I was working all day and I am expecting to be treated as such. There was no tissue in the womens bathroom, she didn't put the tissue in the holder, just handed it to me and didn't hold the door open for me so it closed on my arm, and I was rushed out, as I was finishing up. The male Manager was Very Rude as I was washing my hands and fixing my hair. I heard him talking saying I been in there to long and I haven't, he knocked on the door very rude like, as if I was taking to long and I was not. There is two bathroom, a men's and womens. How dare you do that to a customer, me. Even though I wasn't sitting and eating I still ordered my slice of pizza, and I was Very Nice I kept Thanking them, because like I said I had to use the bathroom. I would have been done if there was tissue inside and I didn't have to go get her. I came out the bathroom, I went back to the counter to grab my food, the Manager was rude, speaking to his staff worker, cashier, 'She wants her food and as I was leaving gone say rudely and looking away 'By Time'. I wanted to ask is that how you treat your customers or only black people because I noticed I was the only black woman in there. I don't think I will be back or be leaving a tip. That bothered me my whole way home.
You don't know what people are going though each day, treat people with kindness and you'll be treated back with blessings. Have a...
Read moreAfter driving all day, we checked into a hotel near Willis Tower. By time we were ready for dinner, everything was closed except for Rosati's. We ordered online for delivery since we didn't want to move our car. The online ordering process was really well done. I submitted my order: pizza, side salad, and 3 drinks. I was told I would receive a confirmation email, but never did (yes, I double checked that my email was correct). But I did get a text saying they had received my order and would update me on the progress...but they never did. An hour after ordering, still nothing. I called. They didn't ask my name, just which Rosati's I had used (I wasn't sure because I'm from out of town and the names on the brochure do not match the names of the locations on Google maps. But the text said it was from Grant Park so that's what I'm going with) and the final destination ( luckily I remembered address of my hotel). I was told it was on the way. I didn't feel very reassured, so I went down to the lobby to wait. Soon after, the delivery guy shows up....with just a pizza. By this time it was 10pm and I never ate lunch that day, so I was beyond hungry. I was really upset that all I was getting was a $50 pizza, even though I had ordered more. The delivery guy knew he didn't have everything and apologized and said it wasn't his fault. He never offered to go back and get rest of the order, but he did buy us drinks from the hotel lobby, I assume with his own tip money. I hope his boss paid him back. He told me to call the number on the receipt and ask for a refund. The girl I talked to didn't ask for my name but said she'd refund us the salad since he got us drinks. Again, no confirmation or details, and she didn't ask for my name so who knows if she actually did refund us anything. I was too tired and angry and hungry to argue with her. The salad was less than $10, so it's not the end of the world. Whatever. The only good thing about this experience is that the pizza was outstandingly delicious. But I'm not sure it was worth all this.....they really need to get their customer service squared away. That was terrible, guys. Please work on this, because I'd really like to eat your pizza again, but not if it's going to...
Read moreToo expensive. Rude attitude. Discriminates against my visiting foreign in-laws who do not have US bank accounts. See note:
Dear Alderman xxx and Staff:
I am writing to request that the city council of Chicago performs an investigation into whether denying customers' service on the basis of being "unbanked" constitutes a violation of Title VI of the US Civil Rights Act.
As you are likely already aware, many other politically progressive US cities ranging from Denver, CO to Oakland, CA already prohibit private business owners from discriminating against customers without a major bank account or credit card on the grounds that such practices constitute a de facto violation of the US Civil Rights Act of 1964.
As you are also likely aware, an increasing number of private businesses in your ward have begun discriminating against customers who do not possess credit cards issued by major financial institutions, which primarily discriminates against patrons of color and foreigners in a city that hosts many foreign tourists every year.
Although as a white US citizen, I myself personally do have access to US-issued credit cards, many of my Tanzanian fiancee's family members are effectively banned from frequenting many local businesses within your ward if they wish to go shopping when they are in town without me and my wallet present.
I am also personally acquainted with many recent immigrants and their family members, not to mention low income Black Americans who reside in your ward, who are effectively excluded from an increasing number of businesses across Chicago, especially those close to downtown.
Therefore, I implore your office to collaborate with political allies to put an end to this practice, which constitutes de facto discrimination against foreigners and Chicagoans of color, both of which are technically prohibited by federal, state and local laws. Many other self-described progressive cities have already prohibited local business owners from discriminating against the unbanked, or foreigners from countries whose bank accounts are not fully integrated into the US financial system, and there is no good reason whatsoever why Chicago cannot do the same.
Thank you for your time and...
