Fantastic little place on State St. pedway! Music is always good! The place had a cute decor and you feel very comfortable being there. The staff is very friendly and attentive. But there's usually one or two for the entire place. At times they get a surge of people coming in and so they get a bit behind. Be patient, they'll get to you and help you as best as they can. I have only been there after work hours, 5pm and on. But when I go they still have lunch specials posted and happy hour. They look delish! Now on to the dishes! I use to stick to the pad thai the first couple of times but boy have I been missing out! Just yesterday we ordered a New Yorker sushi maki and a Full Moon sushi roll. Both were delicious, light but filling and very tasty. I also ordered the Panang Curry with chicken. Wow!!! Incredible dish! The best you'll ever have! I haven't found anything like it! I'm obsessed! The prefect balance of spiciness and sweetness. Loved that it had peanut sauce! The amount of pieces of chicken and peppers was just right. I mixed spoonfuls of rice with just the sauce, so flavorful! My sister ordered the Crazy Noodle, I was so blown away by my dish I didn't get to try it but it did look great! She mentioned she loved how thin and well cooked the noodles were and definitely loved the sweet sauce that came on the side. Sweet but not to sweet that it feels like you are eating sugar. I must say they have a perfect balance of spices in their dishes. Pad thai is very good too! They do over do it with the fresh bean sprouts to fill the plate, in any dish that contains beans sprouts, but you can just let them know you want then to go easy on it and you are good. Overall, a must try restaurant. Must try the sushi, unlike anything you've tried...

Do not recommend I got the Thai green curry which I eat a lot just not at this place. I took one bite I told the server I did not like it and would like it taken off my bill to which she replied since I ordered it I have to pay for it. After I told her I will not be paying for that only the drink I requested she called the owner put me on the phone and he thought it was a good idea to tell me I’m trying to get free food and that I will be paying for my food the best he would do is 25% after I told him I would not be paying for again and again he had his employees get security to which security replies he didn’t eat the food let him pay for his drinks and leave I have the entire altercation on video and recommend no one waste your time with this place I have been in hospitality 11years and never have I treated or been treated this way. Afterwards I gave the cook and server recommendations on better restaurants and to use myself as a reference because they shouldn’t be working for anyone like that those are horrible mannerisms they will carry if...

Simply thalia is a nice restaurant in the corner of a mall it looks nice from the outside and in. The food is also excellent I really loved my Malaysian Style green curry %100 recommend. But the Management is poor. I seen my food on the stand for at least 5-6 minutes before it was finally served to me. The Bartender Manuel kept talking to the people at the bar. I also heard him complain so much about his boss and it was completely unacceptable. Im not sure whats going on behind closed doors but you shouldn’t be talking explicitly when theres people in the restaurant. When I was finally finished with my curry. I was kept waiting for at-least another 10 min while Manuel was talking to the customers !!! This was completely unacceptable and the main reason why the review is low. I would only recommend the food and take it to go so you wouldn’t have to deal with what I had...

Surprising delicious and plus inexpensive for the Loop. Tasty aromas fill the air even before you enter the restaurant. The menu has a diverse Asian menu ranging from countries such as Thailand, India, Malaysia, Burma, Japan, China, etc. I like that the menu indicates the origin of each dish. The only $11.99 lunch specials which include your choice of soup+appetizer+entre+cucumber salad. See photo - the Indian curry was unique (would order again), tint dumpling were ok(my lunchmate for the spring rolls which were much better), the Tom kha soup was really good (would order again) This is a trendy professional looking establishment. I will definitely return.

The weirdest experience and food I have ever had. I ordered Japanese Katsu and you can see the picture how it was. It’s 90% spinach. Has anyone seen spinach in katsu. Another dish I ordered was vegetarian roll (Sushi) which I forgot to take pictures but again the thing inside the rice was all spinach. It was literally the waste of money. And another thing when I saw the bill it was self tipped . Omg I have never seen any waiter/owner self tipping in the bill. I don’t recommend anyone to go there. Sorry about my experience 🙃.

I got vegan curry & my friend got salmon & my other friend got a burger. They both liked their food- the curry was extremely spicy, and I like spicy food... I couldn't finish it in one sitting because of the heat. The vibe was cute & it seemed like it had a nice bar, but the people working seemed unexperienced. I asked for a cocktail on their menu and it wasn't made with the correct ingredients. After letting the bar know, they remade it & it tasted completely different but was still off...
