Come here to get scammed ❌ No refunds on weekends ❌
Sandwich Specials are listed at $9 - but the manager decides what ingredients to tack on as "extra". Expect to walk out paying $18+ for a sandwich. The menus are intentionally confusing and deceiving.
I ordered a BLT and noticed the cashier barely looked at my order before ringing it up - that made me suspicious. When I got my receipt, I saw extra charges for ingredients that were listed as included in the special. NOWHERE on the menu does it list these ingredients as "EXTRA CHARGE".
I went to the manager for clarification and he claimed that certain ingredients like avocado are extra. "If you said no avocado I wouldn't have charged you extra" which is weird because on the ordering bag, there isn't a box to say no avocado nor does it say that avocado is an extra charge. The board itself says "extra avocado" is additional charge and I didn't ask for extra.. I asked for the Ultimate BLT that already includes avocado. Wouldn't have ordered it otherwise.
So I asked for a refund since it was too expensive and not what was described. He refused and said "we only do refunds on Mondays" and that "the person who does them is not here". I asked to speak to the manager and he said "I am the manager". I pointed out that if he was the manager, he should be able to do refunds but he just insisted that "you come back Monday, I can't do refunds" which is complete bullcrap (what kind of manager can't give out refunds?) After back and forth it was clear he was not going to budge or give me my refund.
Disappointing and scamming energy all around. I'm sure they're only in business because of location convenience. This is a high tourist area so they can get away with saying no refunds unless you return (which is unlikely for out of town folks). OH AND I noticed he was charging all the people in line ahead of me also $18+.
Do not come here unless you want to...
Read moreOrdered an egg salad sandwich at lunch time and got tuna fish instead. I'm allergic so could not eat it. Went back after work and the employee, Bedar told me I should have saved the tuna fish sandwich for 5-1/2 hours and returned it as there was nothing he could do. I threw out the sandwich and the receipt. So, it was over $10.00 for pop, chips and a sandwich and they refused to give me a new one. I made a special trip over there. I called their corporate headquarters as Bedar's attitude was extremely condescending and he told me a lot of people try to get free sandwiches (almost accusing me of being a criminal) and they told me because it was a franchise there was nothing they could do except contact the owner. The owner has not bothered to contact me. So, if they get your order wrong - beware - they will not try to fix it. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB mainly because of Bedar's attitude. Went back to give them another chance. This time the girl toasted my sandwich INCLUDING the egg salad. I asked her why she would think I wanted warm egg salad. She replied they toast everything. I got the manager who told her to redo the sandwich. I was the only person in there at 12:30 p.m. Gee,...
Read moreDon't get the hype about this place, which is simply a worse and more expensive version of Subway. The selection sandwiches are pretty plain (very very basic ingredients, not very much sauce) and they are poorly built - my girlfriend's sandwich was somehow nearly all just meat, with little sauce or vegetables, and my sandwiches just had overwhelmingly too much lettuce (60-70% of the sandwich was just lettuce). I don't know maybe the Build Yourself option is good, but the fact they do not have an open counter space like Subway tells me that you cannot really control how much of what do they put in your sandwich. Also, there were only 3 bread options, and those are the most basic ones. On top of that, the cheapest sandwiches start at $8-9 which means that you pay more for a worse product than what you could get at a Subway around the corner. One small thing that was nice - the person by the counter was clearly nice and welcoming, would say hi to everybody and be polite. Although, that is probably the luxury you have when the place is...
