Worst Halal Platter I’ve Ever Had — A Total Disgrace to the Name ā€œHalal Guysā€ I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I had to speak up. I ordered the regular chicken platter, expecting the flavor-packed, mouth-watering meal that Halal Guys is supposed to be known for. What I got instead was pure baasi — yes, stale, flavorless, rubbery chicken that tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Not even the white sauce could save it. The pita was dry and felt like cardboard, and the whole meal lacked any sense of freshness or effort. It honestly felt like they just threw random leftovers in a tray and served it to me without a second thought. This is not just a bad day — it’s a total fall from grace. If this is what you call your ā€œregular platter,ā€ you should be ashamed. And don’t even get me started when I compare this to NYC Halal Eats. Now THAT is a halal platter — juicy, tender meat, fresh vegetables, and sauces that actually bring the dish to life. You could learn a thing or two (or everything) from them. I genuinely regret wasting my money and appetite on this trash. It was insulting to my taste buds and a complete embarrassment to what halal food should be. Fix your quality or stop serving altogether — because this isn’t halal food, it’s a disgrace served in a foil tray.

Best place I found so far for chicken gyro or steak. I love this place, the guys here are awesome. The portions are generous and if you're really nice and ask nicely they'll even give you a little extra at no charge. The chicken will knock your socks off, the gyros meat will knock your toes off, the wings are tender and juicy. I usually get the big bowl plate with all the different meat and lettuce tomato peppers onions and a lot of sauce. Make sure you put a lot of sauce on the meat because that's the best even for your sandwiches 🄪, like the gyros šŸ„™ sandwiches put the sauce on the meet first before they put all of the garnish on.. my best new place to go. I love this and it's healthy. I'm coming back a lot. Thanks guys you're the best. ⭐T.

It was my first time eating here and I wanted to to try it because I've heard good things, and it was great! The place is very small and there's only a few tables available and staff was nice! There's no bathroom or wifi here and parking is mostly street parking. I got the regular chicken and gyro combo, with white sauce and a bit of BBQ sauce! The meat was very tender and flavorful, it was delicious itself. Everything tasted so good together and seemed very fresh. I recommend this place for a quick bite or for good delicious food. It was about $11.50 for a pretty big portion!

6/28/22 Finally they got some friendly people working at the location. Great service by the two guys who were working today's afternoon at 7 PM The quality and quantity of food still needs improvement.

5/3: Update

Another try, another disappointment. The sleepy staff is back and I mean it, just review the video the guy was half asleep while making the order. They forgot to add my sauce packets on the side so i had to eat the bland food.

3/29: Update.

Tried this place another time, quality of food is still bad, quantity is disappointing. However, they have an entire new crew and staff is much better. Attitude is much better than the previous crew but food Quality and Quantity needs IMPROVEMENT. This is Chicago, mecca of food world, people have higher standards especially in the Halal category due to the wide choices available.

All the items are taste less nothing as no spice, no salt. VERY BLAND. I sincerely do not recommend this place.

2/1: Stale chicken, workers do not know how to assemble the platter. Bad Attitude of workers.

Filled the food with red sauce even though I asked it on side, requested to make a new plate and was refused..and full amount charged..cannot eat due to the spice...

This is usually a regular spot for my family and I. Lately i have been going to another location due to the disappointment at this one. Well today I decided to stop at this location, drove 15 minutes and at arrival it was CLOSED. Saturday’s this location stays open late, it was 12:15 AM. Blue sign CLOSED. Individuals inside, I called and of course nobody picked up. It’s either they run out of food and they close or when they are open you need to watch or you will be missing pita or half of the serving! This is becoming such a regular thing for this location, I’ve dealt with the manager at this location before regards an incident where the individuals closed early again because they ran out of food (was stated by employee) multiple customers confused at the door and the employees inside decided to put the yellow bags over their heads due to us taking a video to show a manager what was happening. Manager apologized and stated owner will contact me, that did not happen! I will avoid this location to...
