UPDATE: Mr. Jallow, do not lie that I didn't tell you that the mailbox is for business because even before I came to the store to rent the box I called over the phone to inquire if you have any available boxes for business and when I came there I was very clear that I needed a SMALL box for my COMPANY. I was even more clear that packages are not expected but only letters... very little letters. And to post this response accusing me of posting a fake review after you guys didn't do your job properly, didn't fill out my business information after I asked multiple time that you do so, and the store owner even didn't give me the 1583 form for signature considering that without it USPS cannot legally deliver my mail to this location. Do you seriously think that I can't show the documents given to me at the time of service to show people that you forgot to ask me to sign the 1583 form? And YOU, Mr. Jallow, called me multiple times yesterday to pressure me and try to make me remove this review or upgrade it to a 5 start because I quote "you need it to be a five star" in exchange for a refund. That you gave me conditions that if I ever need to use this store again the review needs to be upgraded to a 5 star. Why would I want to use your services again anyway if they are so poor and if there are two other UPS stores in a walk distance on W North Ave and on Clybourn ave. And you mister store manager asked me not to mention any names in the review and you called it "rude" that I simply shared my experience with this store and when I proceeded to tell you that what you put me through and the way I was treated in your store is rude you hung up the phone on me. You have no five but ZERO STARS from me. At least have the integrity to apologize for everything you did wrong but instead of that you are claiming that the review is fake in your desperate effort to clear your image. I feel disgusted! I just rented a what was supposed to be a business mailbox for my small business. They didn't list the name of my company on the contract but they did it on my name. I am not planning to receive personal mail in this mailbox... it is for the business purposes of my company. When I told the man processing the paperwork that this is for my business and it needs to have the name of my business on it he wrote the name of my company with a pen on top of the page and he didn't even spell it correctly, while the Business entity line says N/A. He also did not give me a key for the mailbox and he told me to contact the store manager and request one. I don't know what kind of nonsense is that because for the past one year I have been renting a mailbox from a different UPS store on Lakeview and everything regarding the contract and paperwork was very detailed and professional and I was provided with a key from the mailbox immediately at the time of signing the documents. When I called one hour later to ask them to correct the contract and to send me a corrected copy with the name of my company I found out that the man who processed the paperwork was the owner himself. I guess he was a little too busy to take my money and he didn't have time to do his job properly. I regret getting a subscription for six months because those contracts cannot be terminated and the fees are non-refundable. It seems to me like a pretty good scheme, huh. Why caring to do their job properly if the fees are non-refundable and even if the renter does not receive even one letter they already got the bucks. I guess I just got burned with a $230. If you need my advice, do not rent mailboxes from this store because the only thing the store owner seems to care is making money while providing zero...
Read morePSA SCAM alert! We have entered an era where even @UPS cannot be trusted. Did you know that UPS stores are franchises? No one is responsible for the lost packages especially due to the negligence of the store employee. Who doesn’t know the basics and probably never attended a single training session but is married to the store owner. The franchise owner of Division Street in Chicago and Van Buren location in the Loop who’s wife deceived and lied to me, sold me untraceable USPS international service when I specifically requested proof of delivery and tracking on the merchandise return shipment. She made multiple mistakes on the shipment type (registered it as a letter when it was merchandise return) and data entry (gave me two tracking numbers for the same package) it took her 45min to create one label. Now that the package is lost it’s been missing 3 months the store refuses to accept negligence and responsibility for their employees aka the wife of the owner. Why does @UPS sell @USPS services they know nothing about? Why am I being sold @USPS at the @UPS store perhaps higher profit margin? The run around and finger pointing between UPS vs. US Postal Service is unbearable. Do not ship UPS especially when they offer USPS option...
Read moreI am no stranger to the return game as my wife tends to rack up a fair bit of clothing returns, but I like to think she just has good taste and has the highest expectations of her various garments and textiles. This location absolutely takes the cake for the best customer service and efficiency of operation I have experienced in my adult life. I walked in listening to rather somber music (Half the World Away - Oasis ITunes Festival 2007), and left with my shoulders back ready to attack the rest of my day thanks to this crew. I want to give a special mention to my guy Mohamed - he helped me through the tricky process of getting the PDF over to him in a creative way and made the process actually somewhat enjoyable with a bit of banter. I knew he was a master of his craft when he whipped out the scissors to cut the shipping label down to the millimeter. He’s even a recognized notary by this great state of Illinois! Thank you guys so much - we will only be using e-commerce platforms that deal with UPS just so I can capture the joy of going back to...
