If my memory serves me correctly,on my Debut visit a very long time ago I ordered one of their cheeseburgers.I don't remember if I had fries with it or not,but I think I probably liked the burger though.Anyway,me and my mom had our debut visit there together the other day.I ordered their Certified Angus Beef Barbecue Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes that came with some green beans or Asparagus. She ordered their Pork Ribs and French Fries. The Beef Meatloaf here is the least of the beef meatloaf entrees I have ever had so far in Chicago restaurants to date. The Barbecue sauce that came with it is most definitely needed, but they didn't put enough of it on my meatloaf unfortunately.Anytime I have to ask for more sauce on my meatloaf that's a problem for me personally.Their garlic mashed potatoes was nothing special and the portion size was extremely small for the price their charging for this entree, period. The green beans or Asparagus was actually the best thing I ate on my plate the other day.I got some leftovers of that in my refrigerator right now and will most definitely finish eating that today. My mom said her food was okay.I don't know if that is an okay enough to visit this restaurant again or the mediocre version of okay of disappointment aka NOT visiting this restaurant ever again, yet.I also ordered their version of "Banana Pudding" too for dessert.Their "Banana Pudding" is the Infinite opposite of the greatest one at "Pearl's Place",the original flavor classic from "Magnolia's Bakery",and the more Wafers than a Catholic Church version at "Shawn-Michelle".The male restroom here has extremely dim lighting despite the otherwise nice looking interior of it.It also has an inexcusably broken toilet seat and I feel bad for those that will have to used that one day, period. The interior design in the dining area is a decent looking wood design. The seating is a combination of cushioned bench tables and uncomfortable looking or non-cushioned chair tables and an unusual hybrid of these two for some tables.Yes,they have so-called "music" playing coming from their ceiling area that I don't like, but their volume level was almost halfway Grating to my ears. The waitress we had was an ordinary waitress attitude and demeanor wise at best.On my way out of the door to go home, multiple other employees (majority females) very strangely was speaking to me and mom (kind of cordially???) as if they just knew that we were NOT well pleased with what we ordered and ate there the other day.Maybe their "Third Eye" or "3rd Eyes" must've been activated, because they're absolutely correct as far as I am...
Read moreA Romantic Culinary Delight at Weber Grill Restaurant. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Weber Grill Restaurant, and it was nothing short of a delightful experience. The ambiance is a perfect blend of elegance and warmth, setting the stage for a truly romantic evening. The restaurant's vibe is enchanting, with dim lighting and a cozy atmosphere that makes it an ideal choice for a romantic dinner. The attentive staff and soothing background music contribute to the overall intimate feel, making it a memorable spot for special occasions. Transitioning to the culinary experience, I decided to make my evening even more special by trying the DELMONICO RIBEYE, a 14oz. USDA Angus steak aged for 28 days. The RIBEYE was an absolute marvel, with the meat being incredibly juicy and tender. Each bite revealed a burst of succulent flavors, and the tenderness of the steak was exceptional. The juiciness of the steak was evident from the first cut, with the natural juices releasing and saturating each fiber of the meat. The expert cooking technique employed by the chefs at Weber Grill ensured that the steak retained its moisture, resulting in a mouthwatering experience. The tenderness of the DELMONICO RIBEYE was remarkable. The steak practically melted in my mouth, making it a true culinary indulgence. The 28 days of aging contributed to the breakdown of muscle fibers, enhancing the overall texture and tenderness of the meat. It was a perfect balance between juiciness and tenderness, making every bite a memorable and satisfying experience. The overall dining experience at Weber Grill was exceptional, making it clear why this restaurant is a favorite among those seeking a romantic and elevated culinary adventure. If you're looking for a place with a romantic atmosphere, impeccable service, and mouthwatering cuisine, Weber Grill Restaurant is the perfect choice. It's not just a meal; it's an experience, and I can't wait to come...
Read moreI visited Weber Grill Restaurant for dinner. It's in the heart of downtown Chicago around a plethora of restaurants. I chose the Weber Grill because of it's accessibility to the hotel that I stayed in. There were other options, but this restaurant stayed open an hour later than the others. Plus, it was much cheaper than the other steakhouses in the area.
The venue is easily identifiable from any viewpoint in the area due to the fact that there's the iconic barbecue Grill above the entrance of the building.
The venue is very spacious, along with much to see whether you're sitting inside the restaurants to watch the cooks Grill the selected meats as well as seeing all of the historic notes of the business. Or sitting outside and viewing everything that's happening amongst downtown Chicago.
I sat at the bar this time because the venue was still packed after 8:30p and it was difficult to get a table (20+ minute wait). I ordered the BBQ meatloaf entree paired with a Whistle Pig (rye whiskey) old fashioned. The portions of their entrees are generous and very filling. Although I wanted to order something else to take to my hotel room for a midnight snack, I was too full to actually do so. The entree itself was a different spin on meatloaf. I've never had barbecue meatloaf nor had it seared & grilled either. It was paired with mashed potatoes and green beans with garlic butter topped with sliced almonds.
I enjoyed that meal, it was delicious. I found myself scraping the plate in about 20 minutes after receiving it.
My bartender for the night was Audrey. Despite being drastically busy with a full bar of guests, plus constantly receiving drink orders to prepare for servers, she tended to me well. And the drink that she made for was on point. She gave a generous pour for what I ordered, which is something I needed after a long day at work.
If you're in the area, give this place a try. Enjoy it...
