I've had a sleep number bed for the past 15 years and am well satisfied with the product. It was time to upgrade to the new split/mechanized bed, so I went shopping. I knew what I wanted and expressed this to the salesperson, who continually tried to upsell me. The experience was reminiscent of buying a new car and getting hammered with all the accessories/add-ons. I made an offer on the package and was danced around in the store with the sales staff and manager. I finally left and was called by the store manager the next morning, stating he'd talked with his area supervisor and they could meet my offer. Surprise, surprise! Then they informed me part of the package I was expected to pickup from the store, part to be shipped to my home via UPS, and the remainder to be delivered by their people at a to be determined date/time. I was to be called with a delivery date I called the store to see when the UPS delivery was to be, since I didn't want their delivery before UPS. The Sleep Number manager was to call me back. Never happened. This is a shotgun approach to a service that, in my opinion, could have been easily consolidated to having everything delivered, one stop, by their delivery service and not chase me around personally picking up product, waiting for UPS and then coordinating a delivery date with a third party. I'm disgusted with the lack of service to the customer. This is not a cheap item and certainly could have been handled more professionally. I was put on hold for over an hour, the call was then dropped and when I called back I was put on hold again. Did you not read the review I posted? I was put on hold , then when I got a live person they said I needed to speak with the comfort department which requires another long hold time. It's absurd how willing you are to waste your customers time by putting them on hold for hours. Before the sale there were live representatives everywhere ready to answer my questions , after the sale and after you get the thousands of dollars for the bed, these live representatives seem to disappear. And your response is to send me back to the contact us page where it all began. Read moreNOTE... Not a review of the Local Store. Product is good. Online/Phone Customer service for replacement parts severely lacking. Seems to be a management issue. Always a wait "high Call Volume" at least 20 plus minutes. Selected call back, once it worked, once it didn't. I have a split king,dual chamber bed. One air chamber began to leak after 5 years. Called for replacement, under prorated warranty, OK. Told I needed a new air pump. Was not told air pump was required because they discontinued the remote control, which I ordered because it wouldn't hold a charge. All received OK. New pump doesn't connect to existing good air chamber. Round and around we go. Sent pictures. Rep. sends me to Acct. Specialist. They don't talk, so again, round and around explaining again. Bottomed line...because they improved or updated air chambers, I have to buy a replacement Air Chamber for the side that does not leak.
