Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Childress

Absolutely awful quality of food as well as the service. Our waitress was a young girl with glasses and sloppy hair thrown up into a hat partially. There was only our party of 4 in the dining room and halfway through a table of 2 came in. She took our order fairly promptly but everything beyond that was insulting. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and the cookie off of the "2 or more for $5" menu, along with a side garden salad. 30 minutes goes by and we haven't gotten anything yet except for our drinks, 3 sodas and a water. Waitress finally brings over the pizza, no plates or silverware so we eat off of paper towels that were at our table. The crust tasted a bit old but we were so hungry by this time we ate it anyway. We wait another 10 minutes and she brings the cookie pie boxed up but not cut up. We ask about the salad and the garlic knots, she doesn't really say what happened but says oh yeah sorry I'll have those right out. Another 10 minutes go by and she's clearing off tables so one from our party goes up and reminds her we are still waiting on the side salad and the garlic knots. Waitress says sorry she'll have them right out but she doesn't stop clearing the table and she continues for another 3-4 minutes doing that. So we finally decide it's not even worth it so we go up and pay where she charges us the full $18 bill and no apology. If you can't handle the front of the house don't work it. We were just passing through and we wasted over an hour to only get half of our order on what should have been a 30 min stop....

Do not waste your time time or money.

The order was delived over an hour past the promised delivery time. Therefore the pizza was cold and soggy. The wings retained some heat, but were unsatisfactory as well. I called to check on the order after it was 25 minutes late and was told only 15 more minutes. 35 minutes later, the pizza arrived. We recieved no Ranch with our order, and when I asked for some, I was told "No, you didn't order any." This was incredibly rude to hear from the delivery person and I had to point out on the receipt that there was in fact Ranch on the order. Of course, the delivery person informed me that she didn't have any Ranch on hand. In fact, the whole store was out of Ranch. This was not expressed to us when we ordered. she tried to give me $2 back for the inconvenience, but I was already frustrated with the responses I had received and the lateness of the pizza so I declined. It felt really fake and rude. I asked why the pizza was so late and it was explained that the delivery person had flat tire. While I cannot prove the validity of this claim, I was able to find other reviews of this store where "late" and "short a delivery driver" is a common occurrence. Based on the lateness, and lies about the ranch, I would never recommend this place, even if I was offered a compete and free replacement of our meal,...

Arrived at 8:20pm. Posted closing time on the door is 10:00pm. Staff were already turning over chairs on the tables. Atmosphere was like "oh man, why do we have a customer coming in now?" - just the way I felt. None of the employees were busy but the first available employee that made the effort and got up to see me took my order, but left to get the manager so she can take it from me again. After taking my order, a medium pizza with garlic cream sauce, not the regular marinara sauce, I was told by another employee they only had marinara sauce left, so there wasn't really a choice to begin with. During this whole time, from entering until i finally left, some 20 minutes, the men's bathroom was locked and occupied by yet another employee. That was the only bathroom available. Never got to use it, and not sure I would... The pizza was eventually provided. It's a pizza so you can't mess that up, but the over all experience is way below average, and surpring for a pizza hut.
