Treetop RV Park — Hotel in Childress

Called up Tree Top on a last minute notice to see if they had any space available and was told they did. As first time RVers, this was our first time using a RV Park to hook up our equipment. The individual we made contact with (whom I later found out was Mr. Willis) texted us which lot we were too hook up at. Because he wasn't on site when we arrived, payment was to be arranged the next day. I texted him to inform him we were about to get on the road again headed to California and he stayed he was on busy on another job and would contact me later about the payment. Not only did I have to contact him about the payment, but he agreed to allow me to mail it to him with no rush. Both my husband and I are 20 years' Navy veterans and we've never received such special treatment as this! Great place for an overnight stop if you are traveling through Childress TX. It’s a small park located next to a residential neighborhood. Close to Main Street but very quiet. Smooth, hard-packed dirt roads and we had a concrete pad next to our spot. THERE ARE SHADE TREES ON MANY OF THE SITES! I mean actual shade trees, which we have not experienced elsewhere in TX. Sites all seemed to be level and pull-throughs. I didn’t meet the owner, but he was responsive and friendly on the phone. The sites had full hookups (electric/water/sewer) for $35/night. Payment is by cash, check or Venmo. There was wi-fi available, but I didn’t use it. Decent cell coverage. There was no bath house, pool or picnic tables, but it’s not meant to be a resort. My family and I had a long day traveling from Mississippi and we were going to camp in the Walmart parking lot. Then I found this GREAT RV park online. The owner Tiger was able to accommodate us with a pull through site that was shaded all the way around. We had the pleasure to meet the kind son Trent. Who was very polite and welcoming. There is no office on site which gives the comfort of not being watched. My kids loved the bird houses they found in the trees and there was a little patch of dirt that the kids played in.
