New Grand Buffet — Restaurant in Chillicothe

My wife and I will sometimes eat lunch here when in Chillicothe but we were running late and came in at dinner. We got the check and thought “hey, dinner prices” and didn’t think any more of it. We always tip at the table but paid in cash instead of card like we usually do. So I just handed the lady the cash, said everything was great and to put the extra dime in the bucket. Walked out, got in the car, and was just about to leave when the lady came running out with the cash. I was thinking I must have miscounted and not given her enough money but she asked if it had just been the two of us. Turns out they had accidentally rang us up for three buffets (their mistake) and we hadn’t noticed (our mistake). She had came out to give our money back. I’m sure it would have been fixed at the counter had I paid with card or waited for my change. We would have just left without noticing but instead we got some money back and won’t worry about avoiding those “dinner prices” in the future. You can’t beat that.

Food’s good. My wife loves to modify the Hot Sour Soup which she can’t get at our local place anymore. And I’m all about the Cheesy Spinach they have at lunch.

We were in the area over the weekend and wrestling meet him afterwards. We need to get our Chinese buffet on. And let me tell you that if you were in Chillicothe Ohio looking to get your Chinese buffet on this is an awesome stop in flavor Ville.

When you first walk in, it’s everything you’ve come to expect in Chinese buffet, including the huge gold fish in a tank at the front door .

This place has five Buffay serving tables, one of which is for dessert alone a second one is for salads and such and the others are full of delicious wonderfulness .

These guys run it in across the goal line for the two point conversion with an ice cream machine that will give you chocolate vanilla swirl and you can get sprinkles on to .

I’ll be forewarned it is not cheap. It was a Sunday at 5 PM dinner time and we dropped in here and they managed to tag in Vegas for $50 for three people.

But when you are in Rome, you should do as the Romans do and I think when you were in Chillicothe, you should do as a Chinese buffet or do and hit this place up .

It is a wonderful stop in the game of Chinese Buffay...

I used to love this place but tonight was the final straw as far as ever going back. The food is greasy but OK. The waitresses are pushy and the one woman barked at me to remove my straw from the glass so she could pour the soda into a to-go cup. I told her to stop speaking to me like I was an idiot. She grabbed the cup from my hand.

Then the arrogant waitress had the audacity to take my $20 bill and never return with the change, presuming I was leaving her the change as a tip. I would not have left her even $2.00 after such hateful treatment, but for her to take $5.00 was so rude, presumptuous, and unethical. A meaner person would have made a stink about such treatment but I was trying to be very polite about the whole ordeal.

I no longer recommend this once decent buffet. They are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get and for the ridiculous service by some of the staff, not all. Never going back to this unclean, low-end...
