This place is never ready on time. I often go in between 8-8:30 in the morning and many of their shelves are empty, and if food is on the shelf, there are no labels. I end up walking around, wondering what I’m looking at.
Right now they have a challenge to purchase butter pecan products however, they had zero butter pecan products on the shelves. The first employee I asked, ignored my words and I had to ask her twice before she began to speak to me. When she finally did acknowledge me I asked her if it was OK if I asked her a question. She had some sort of speech impediment, so this may have been why she responded the way she did however, her tone and mannerisms were rude. In addition, she wouldn’t make eye contact with me. In the end, she said they didn’t have any butter pecan products out, which made no sense because I had already told her there was nothing there and asked when they would be out. I asked to talk with the supervisor and the woman I spoke with, who was wearing a light blue, button-down shirt, had a very thick accent, and I had to ask her about four times to repeat herself. The last thing I heard her say was to try calling later because they make them overnight. Then she asked me if I wanted to come back later on. I told her that was pointless since I was “here now” and the visit was for “morning coffee.”
Anyway, this isn’t the first time they don’t have things ready. Today, I was there a little before 10 and still they weren’t ready. I think I’m done with this place. Maybe corporate can...
Read moreFirst impressions: Priceier than my usual coffee chains and full of unique baked goods. Second impression: Disappointed to find my drink cup sitting on my dirty porch, but happy to see minimal packaging for my entire order. Coffee: It's a bit unsettling trying to find a coffee drink that is the same as in the chains. I opted for a Cold Brew (no milk) with caramel syrup and extra ice. A teaspoon of sugar took the edge off of the bitter undertone. The color makes me think there was dairy of some sort. This is not a chain coffee to guzzle; it's a coffee to savor. Sippy cup with a spill guard ($6.49/20 oz.). Gourmet Sandwich: Turkey Mozzarella Panino with Turkey, Dijon Mayo, Onion Marmalade, Fresh Mozzarella, Shaved Parmesan, Arugula, Black pepper. Underwhelmed by the amount of turkey, but in every bite I got the light crunch of the baguette and the slightly sweet taste of marmalade ($9.79). Chocolate Croissant: Not squishy like I'm used to. Firm with rich chocolate generously drizzled atop and piped inside ($3.39). Restaurant Total: $26.21 (including a mysterious mark-up of $4.99). After tax, tip, Uber fees: $37.90. Next time, I'll skip Uber Eats and pick up my Paris...
Read moreGoing to this bakery is like stepping into another country in the best possible way. It’s simple and clean with plenty of seating. I love the decoration and atmosphere. It feels calm and Metropolitan. The selection and freshness and always being stocked is top-tier. The customer service is wonderful and the cashiers are always more than willing to help you make a selection with drinks and greet with a smile which let’s face it nowadays is very rare. Whoever did the hiring is very Smart and it makes a big difference because the place is always packed and people feel comfortable going here. Obviously not to mention how delicious everything is even at a higher price I think it’s worth it. I’ve never bought cakes from here, but I think for my next event, I would definitely give it a try. Also, I like that they have a rewards system and I use the app all the time with...
