I have been wanting to write a review for this place for a while. I wanted to mention that I have had many different experiences here, both decent and some the opposite. On certain days, depending on who is there, the customer service could be different. Maybe they have started to realize this, because from the last few times we visited, it seems like they have more staff, which results in more customers getting what they need. I want to make note that they now have a minimum charge for credit card to be over $20, and the Garlic Sauce they used to have outside self serve, will now need to be requested. The last time I went they were going to charge me.. then the last time they gave it for free.. This is what I mean, it is just so random. Either or I asked the last time why they took out the Garlic Sauce, and she told me they had to remove it, because some people started bringing in their own cups, and scoop a bunch of it togo. That is pretty messed up, and I support their decision.. just be more clear on if you are going to include it, or charge the customers...
Food I would say the food here is decent. It is the only place in this vicinity that has this type of food. If you want this normally you would need to drive to the 626 area. Anyways this place is known for their huge rice rolls, so definitely give it a try if you haven't.
I usually order: Sweet Soy Milk Salty Soy Milk (has a bunch of different savory items inside) Rice Roll Egg on Green Onion Pancake.
They have ready made food in a freezer, like dumplings, rice wrapped in banana leaf, etc. , so if you are looking for things like that, do check out the selection they have.
If you are looking for other type of food besides these breakfast items, I would recommend other Taiwanese places.
At the end of the day I'm thankful that there is a Taiwanese breakfast place near my area just wished this location was like the first location they have in Rowland Heights in the...
Read moreDoesn't have the rustic charm that the Rowland location has (with the stinky tofu smell from their neighbors LOL) and cramped quarters. I do like how spacious they are and now built with sit-down booths and errthang! The interior decor definitely 21st century and modern compared to Rowland.
I ordered a grilled radish cake (蘿蔔糕) with egg and a hot soy milk (熱豆漿) while the boyfriend got gyozas (鍋貼), egg pancake (蛋餅) and a cold sweet soy milk (甜豆漿). Nothing was amiss (those particular dishes we ordered were delicious and well made) and quite glad that Chinese breakfast is now closer to home than having to drive all the way out to edge of Rowland/Hacienda Heights and they're prices are cheap AF compared to regular dining. Pay up front and they'll serve you at your table. They also have one outside seating if you have a fur...
Read moreThe first time I tried this authentic Taiwanese cuisine, I was really amazed! Every dish retains the authentic Taiwanese flavor, and you can feel the care from seasoning to plating. Especially the Taiwanese sausage, the skin is slightly crispy, the meat is solid, sweet and salty, and the aroma is overflowing. One bite is like returning to the lively atmosphere of the Taiwanese night market. Whether it is three cups chicken, braised pork rice, or side dishes and snacks, they all have the taste of my mother's handmade. I sincerely recommend it to friends who miss the taste of home or want to experience authentic...
