Service was great.
I ordered Philly's Best chicken philly cheesesteak, onion rings, and a Coke = $15.83.
Coke is Coke. It was cold and free refills are available.
Condiment bar had two containers of what looked like dill pickles and one container of those sweet-hot peppers that are a must with cheesesteak.
Onion rings are beer-battered and not panko crusted. This should be a "YES!" But instead these were just an "Eh" because the breading wasn't thick enough, crunchy enough, or dark enough. They were greasy which means they were probably undercooked. Super disappointing.
Now for the headliner... The chicken cheesesteak. I ordered the Philly's Best chicken and it comes with mushrooms and sweet peppers and white American cheese on an Amarosa roll - Yum! I added grilled onions and replaced the white American cheese with provolone and I was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was hot and juicy, it needed more cheese though and what cheese there was was buried on the bottom. It also needed more sweet peppers and mushrooms. And fresh mushrooms instead of canned would have been great. There were plenty of grilled onions though and the roll was fresh.
Overall, great experience - just needs...
Read moreI heard about this place from a co-worker when they had the $5 on #5 days. Now it’s $7 on #7 days, but it’s well worth the regular price on any day! When I want to escape to Philly, I drive to Philly’s Best in Chino. I place my order by phone ahead of time because they tend to be busy during lunch hours. I can’t say too much about the staff because I am in and out in flash. I have never had a negative experience, so just assume the staff is as nice as you are! Disclaimer: I have never been to Philadelphia and had a Philly Cheesesteak, I based my comparison on what I would expect to taste in Philadelphia, and that is a pretty high expectation. The Philly cheesesteak form Philly’s Best met that expectation. Thanks for reading! Give me thumbs up...
Read moreHaven't been to this joint for (easily) over 10 years. The interior of this place has not changed a bit. That said, price has gone up significantly. We ordered 2 sets of cheese steak burger/fries/medium drink, and the total is over 40 bucks, tax included. That's more expensive than dining at restaurants like Chili's! We stayed there for about 30 minutes. There were no other customers coming in while we were there, on a Saturday evening. Feel bad for the chef, who is very...
