Only 2 stars because the manager eventually gave our money back and the drink. My bf was on his lunch break right now (4/26/24 2:12 p.m.). He got a drink in the drive-through, and we paid at the window. He gave the girl working $10 to reload the amount of the drink, which was almost 7$. We got the receipt saying it was paid for, but then she said it was canceled on her end, so they had to CHARGE HIM AGAIN. Excuse me? No, because she TOOK THE MONEY she gave him $3 in change, keeping the $7. She refused to give him his drink and said he had to pay a SECOND TIME because it messed up on THEIR END. The manager comes over, but this girl doesn't let him come talk to my boyfriend. Instead, she just tells the manager he didn't pay for it at all. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! now she is wasting his lunch break by trying to make him give her more cash. Meanwhile, it still says we paid for the drink on our in-app receipt. As you can see in the picture. (Idk what the .70 charge is for because that only showed up after we left.) Finally my BF said, loud enough for the manager to hear, that she had in fact taken his cash and given him only $3 back in change so he just wanted his drink so he could go back to work as this whole thing took about 15 minutes of his time total. RIDICULOUS to take the cash and have it in your drawer but say it wasn't paid for. And no, the money wasn't on our card as if it hadn't been charged. STILL this girl tries to pay for it a second time with a different card on our account that reads $13.00 even though my bf explained that's been there forever and we can't delete it but it DOESNT WORK. Besides HE ALREADY PAID! I have never seen anything like this before. We go to this Starbucks all the time and never had an issue. But this was just out of line. Again, I'm giving a star back because the manager eventually just gives him the drink and $7 back as well, but the time it took can't be given back. Plus, this shouldn't have even happened in the first place if the workers know how to do their job and NOT LIE about having taken someone's money. This review is all over the place compared to my usual reviews because I'm so mad I can't think. Yeah, it's only $7, but you don't take someone's money and then say that you have to take it again because YOUR end messed up. Regardless of the amount. I'm just baffled by this girls' line of thinking and how people who think like that can even get a job handling money and interacting...
Read moreVisited Starbucks 12150 Central Ave Chino last night at about 7:15 PM. Ordered three drinks (2 medicine balls and gingerbread latte). They were out of the medicine ball/citrus mint tea . I was going to order cake pops as well. I don’t visit Starbucks a whole lot, but I remember a couple years ago cake pops used to be cheaper if you ordered 3, so I ordered 3. I immediately saw the price was $3.25 each so I asked the employee taking my order “aren’t they cheaper if you order 3?”. She told me no, so I asked her to remove 2 of the cake pops. She then gave me my total and as I was still at the speaker box, I heard her say in a mocking voice “oh, I thought they were 3…”, and then her voice cut out. She hadn’t realized that her headset was still on!
Clearly, she was communicating with someone else in the store, making fun of the fact that I thought it was cheaper for three cake pops. Since I was still at the speaker box, I asked “are you talking crap?”…no response.
I then drove up to the window and was ignored for a full minute until finally the woman opened the window, and I asked her “Are you the one that took my order?” She said yes. (Her name is Lina) I asked “What’s up with that?”, to which she responded “ well me and my coworkers always got a lot of customers who always ask for discounts that are not really discounts.” I told her her job is customer service. Take my order, provide me with excellent customer service and complete my order. That’s it. Totally unprofessional. I asked for her manager and she said his name was James, but was not in. I asked for the next person in charge and she said her shift supervisor was on break. I did have my passenger videotape our interaction with Miss Lina.
We decided to leave the Starbucks and go a few miles away to another Starbucks instead. The other Starbucks on Holt and San Antonio had the citrus tea and provided excellent service.
Will I stop going to Starbucks? No I will still continue going every now and then but I will definitely avoid this particular Starbucks in CHINO on Central and...
Read moreI go here very often, it’s usually great however Damian on September 3rd around the 0310 in the morning was extremely rude. It was a mobile order, they didn’t open the drive thru until around 0308, when he walked out of the store to open the drive thru I asked if the lobby was open, he rudely answered NO, I Had already placed A mobile order and I could see my drink being ready, several cars were in the drive thru And considering they were Late to open the drive-through I figured I could just grab my drink from him, but he left no room for further questions with his poor customer service. When I approach the window to pick up my order, he took his time to even open the window, he noticed it was me, the same person he was rude to and he chose to continue to be rude, I don’t know why I triggered him or if that’s his usual entitled demeanor. He opened the drive thru window, no greeting no eye contact, he simply sticked his hand out with my drink, I was upset at that point and snatched the drink out of his hand. I’m sure all this can be proven on surveillance cameras. It left such a bad taste and I’m afraid to go back and having the need to interact with him again. I’m usually the bigger person and I try to avoid conflict but this Starbucks is the only one open...
