My husband and I headed out for brunch this morning without a destination in mind, and honestly we ended up at Sid Harvey’s because it was open at the time and there are not a lot of options for brunch in Chippewa. Neither of us have been there before! Although Google said it was as busy as it gets, when we arrived there were only a couple tables occupied so we were greeted and able to sit immediately. It was nice and warm in the building and we sat by the window soaking in the sun. Our server, a young boy, immediately brought us water and menus. I decided on the Denver Skillet with rye toast and my husband chose the Eggs Benedict. A few more people came in while we waited for our food but it never got crazy busy. The flow all seemed to be handled well. Our food came out in a reasonable time! With the addition of salt and pepper, the skillet was very tasty. The hashbrowns were crispy and the eggs fluffy, and it had tons of ham and green peppers. The toast was a bit dry, but it’s toast. My husband likes to order Eggs Benedict if we go out for breakfast because it’s so time consuming to make at home. He thought the hollandaise lacked a bit of flavor (maybe needed lemon?) so he added some hot sauce and that seemed to help. He also commented on the crispness of the hashbrowns— it’s the way we like them. Overall, we were satisfied with our food and would return if we wanted to go out for breakfast/brunch! **Sorry, pictures were taken after we were partway into our meal. You can see what a sunny day it was!

We stumbled upon Sid Harvey's by accident, as for some reason most places in town don't open until 11 a.m. :/ Sid's was busy, and we were informed they were without a waitress for the day so the owner, Jay, was doing it ALL. You wouldn't have known it by looking around, because everyone had food and drinks and any empty tables were clean (so kudos to you, Jay!!). My mom and I both really enjoyed our meals. She went with an order of eggs benedict and hash browns and said the hollandaise sauce had the perfect flavor and she also appreciated the crispy hash browns. My chicken biscuit gravy bowl was decadence on a plate. We're talkin' yummy biscuits and crispy chicken bites covered in gravy and topped with cheesy scrambled eggs. Could I finish it? No. But did I want to? Yes! We'll definitely be back, now that we know what we've been missing out on.

Wonderful experience here. Hostess/waitress was extremely friendly and actually made someone feel welcome coming in. The biscuits and gravy at the right temperature and taste that I would hope it would have. It would amaze you how many restaurants actually serve cold microwaved tasting biscuits and gravy. Thankfully they don't have that issue. The scrambled eggs were great too. The decor was great, it was both welcoming and comforting. It felt like a place you could get together with family or friends to catch up at without feeling rushed out. As far as the prices, I will say they are excellent. Not often do I find a place where I can find exceptional food with prices that don't make you feel guilty about it later.
