I called to reserve a full tea service for 2. The young lady working there was knowledgeable, friendly, and just freaking lovely! Five Stars just for her too. As of August 28th, 2021, the price was $23 per person (incredibly reasonable, don't believe me? Comparison shop and you'll see) and it came with the following servings for each one of us: • 1 tea of your choice from the shop's selection, • Fruit salad (with a honey sauce, maybe?) • 2 wedding cookies, • 1 scone (your choice of available flavors) with a side of double cream and lemon curd • 1 slice of lemon tart, • 2 smoked ham and cheddar sandwiches on wheat bread, • 2 cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches on white, • 2 chicken salad sandwiches on croissant bread (my favorite of the bunch), • 1 slice of pound cake drizzled with strawberry sauce • and 2 slices of strawberry shortcake. All of that was per person and it was so good! It's a very nice gift shop as well so I purchased a tea strainer and 2 tea flavors, Monk's blend and Winter Cherry - which I mistakenly called Princess blend. Wild cherry was one of our choices for tea service and it was very tastea (see what I did there?). This shop is located at the 3rd Street Village so you can take a pleasant walk after, relax at Memorial Park nearby, or sleep it off in a lovely comfortable room at the historic El Primero Hotel...
Read moreI was invited to "My Cup of Tea" a tea shop, to play a game called "Teago" on a Saturday . For $5. you get a little snack, dessert and tea, and TEAGO cards. You need to bring your own cup and saucer. Call the shop for more details because it's not every Saturday, it's catered so you need to reserve a seat 24 hours in advance. It's a game that play's on word like Bingo. Only instead of saying Bingo you say Teago and instead of cash you win 1 oz of a variety of teas. This gives you a free opportunity to taste teas you thought you may not like and it usually is a delightful surprise! and you win often. If you live in Chula Vista as I do, you will like the fact that it's so close to home and the variety of teas is huge! It will take you a very long time to taste them all. Then there are the tea related gifts! need I say more? I...
Read moreMy husband told me about this place and we decided to have a little tea date here. The shop is small and located in main street Chula Vista, so there’s paid parking meters. It’s a very cute store with a good selection of teas that you can smell. They sell them by the ounce and your selection can also be brewed in store and be served in a personal tea pot with cream and sugar. The young lady who served us felt bad she didn’t have scones during our visit but was kindly able provide us some cookies with our tea. It’s very casual and affordable so if you’re unable to visit the more pricy tea places in San Diego but still want a fun, relaxing tea experience I would recommend! I ended up going home with a few bags of tea, and some other...
