My wife & I decided to give the place a try this morning as we live just a walk away. So, first thing is first & I cannot take away from it, all of the food was executed very well & everything really did fantastic. The ingredients used were not bad, but for the pricing certainly called for higher quality of ingredients. That’s where the good pretty much ends.
Ambiance was nice, decor tasteful, charming first impressions, music way too loud especially for breakfast, anyone in the industry knows blaring music first thing in the morning is not ideal. The sage burning at main counter was a little overwhelming & unexpected but was bearable after some time.
Service however was lacking 100%. The gentlemen that is a part owner was on his cellphone standing in a corner while his only staff member was scrambling to get set up behind the wet bar, did not acknowledge us or ask to seat us, we were the only people in the restaurant at this point, so not understanding when you’re a brand new restaurant how you’re not doing everything you can to create a welcoming environment for your paying customers…seems to be a trend with their establishments.
First off putting thing was no water was offered on tap, only bottles of water that you have to pay for only adding to your bills total…pretty crazy when you can walk into a coffee shop on 3rd without a kitchen & can still get a glass of water. Just saying, not a deal breaker but come on now…it’s water…
Secondly, after ordering cafe de olla, there’s no indication on their menu that there’s no refills & or you’d have to pay for an entire additional cup if you’d like more, so there was yet another added cost.
Thirdly, my wife ordered a carrot & orange juice, what was delivered was carrot juice. When we asked, the server persisted to argue with her & told her she only ordered carrot juice, even though she repeated our drink orders back to us. She ended up topping the juice off with OJ & mixed it in.
As we dined we stacked plates & utensils for our server, moved them aside & took a good while for them to be cleared.
At this point we were one of three seated tables in the restaurant, we ordered well before the couple to our left & they got their full orders first, our breakfast panini had still not come out, a cook from the back dropped two on their expo line & the server couldn’t remember who ordered them & what table to deliver them to…you could hear someone from the kitchen yell out the table numbers & then they were dropped…my wife got her chilaquiles 6 minutes before my main course hit the table.
Owner did end up touching the table toward the end of meal & very robotically introduced himself by name & asked if there was anything else we needed. Felt very rehearsed & he then proceeded making his way to the other tables with the very same line. Felt very cold & disingenuous, nothing warm & fuzzy about it.
No printed check was presented to review the final bill, only being told verbally what was ordered, very off putting when you’re trying to check for accuracy of order & pricing.
Overall, it’s hard to give this more than a 1 star. That does suck, because the food was good, solid 8/10. However, the place desperately lacked service & hospitality, 100% unarguable. I don’t believe after today’s experience we will be back & would certainly not recommend to anyone if you care about receiving an amazing dining experience from...

Let me preface this with a truth bomb: I wanted to like Mujer divina. The name promises divinity, but the experience was… well, mortal at best, and chaotic at worst. If you’re heading in, bring your patience, an umbrella for the indoor heat (no AC), and maybe a granola bar to snack on while you wait for your name to be skipped—twice.
Here’s the review: my mom and I were literally on the list. We saw the list. The manager showed us the list. He even confirmed that a party of two, who came in after us, was seated before us. Then, in a bold move that could only be described as delusional PR spin, he tried to lie to our faces and tell us otherwise. Spoiler alert: gaslighting doesn’t work when you’re holding the receipts. Literally.
To add insult to irritation, he tried to make awkward small talk with us like we were old friends at a BBQ instead of disgruntled guests he just publicly disrespected. And when we said we’d leave a review, he shrugged it off with, “Well, you can—but it’s clear the food is good.” Bold confidence for someone running a lukewarm customer service operation with room-temperature water you have to pay for.
Let’s talk food: yes, the dishes have potential, but let’s not pretend this is some kind of underground Michelin gem. The enmoladas were fine, but overpriced—and came solo, with typical sides like rice, beans, or eggs inexplicably sold à la carte, as if we were building brunch one overpriced scoop at a time. Casera? Not quite. Cash-grab? Definitely leaning that way.
We also noticed guests waiting 30+ minutes just to order, visibly frustrated. And it’s not the staff’s fault entirely—they’re clearly understaffed, overworked, and trying their best under poor management. But when you’re running a business where brunch is $20+ a plate, customer service can’t be an optional upgrade.
Bottom line: if you’re not that hungry, want to try it once just to say you did, and enjoy observing customer service disasters as a social experiment, Mujer might be your spot. But if you value being treated like your time and presence matter, maybe give them a season or two to get it together.
Wishing their business success, because everyone deserves to thrive—but also hoping they read this carefully. That’s clearly not their...
Read moreWe were really excited to try this place. I had read the owner/chef's story and was looking forward to a new experience. There was a wait when we arrived and it looked like the staff was very stressed and frustrated which is understandable during a rush. However, the staff seemed to be taking this out on the customers. We were met with attitude when inquiring about the wait time and asking basic questions. Once we were seated, we ordered a few drinks and our food. Our food came incorrect, when I asked about this, they said that's how my item is made even though it's shown differently on the menu...
But the biggest issue for me, and what completely put me off, was the fly situation and the state of the blender. There were flies everywhere, constantly swarming around us and our food. I noticed the blender being used for the green juice was covered in flies. Even worse, there was juice just sitting in the blender when we walked in, and over 35 minutes later, they were still using that same blender without rinsing it. I watched them use it multiple times, never once cleaning or even quickly rinsing it out. I even ordered a green juice myself, hoping they’d rinse it since I was clearly watching, but they just tossed the ingredients in and blended away. It was honestly gross. A simple rinse would’ve gone a long way, let alone a proper cleaning. It just felt like no one could be bothered. If I was the owner, I would come by unannounced every now and then and do a quality check on everything cause this was not it.
I was really bummed as this place could be amazing! So much potential. It's a beautiful space that wants to set a vibe but they aren't hitting the mark. They had a sound system but they weren't even playing music so the atmosphere was filled with an awkward chatty silence.
A bit pricey for basic items like sandwiches and "fresh fly juice".
A notable mention, the pancakes were really good but they still wouldn't make...
