Our family has been here twice and in terms of service, we got two opposing experiences. The first time, our waiter was friendly and attentive. The second time, our waitress, completely forgot about our table. We waited so long to order that I actually had to get up and tell her that we were ready. Her response was, “oh shit.” She seemed annoyed that we were annoyed, but she got friendlier later.

Dishes we’ve tried: Kids chicken teriyaki - good char on the chicken, but still juicy. Teriyaki sauce was well balanced.

Miso soup - flavorful and feels homey

Rose roll - A FAVORITE! All the components complemented the other, culminating in a perfect bite

Dragon roll - Good flavor, but there were some pieces of eel that was a little crunchy which was unpleasant.

Holy jalapeño - lacked the spice we expected. Not bad, but not memorable.

Chicken karaage - delicious. Breading was seasoned and the chicken was juicy.

Cappuccino macaroon ice cream - ice cream, macaroon and cappuccino. What could be bad about this combination?!

Strawberry nigori - drank the entire bottle myself (it wasn’t that big, ok). It was sweet and boozy; absolutely delicious.

Small hot sake - pretty standard, but the restaurant offered buy one, get one free and we just couldn’t pass it up.

We paid approximately $127 on our first visit and roughly $240+ for the second visit. We would return despite inconsistencies with...

I have eaten here several times and the food has always been amazing. However today the service was awful. The waiter managed to mess up all of our orders. We were very nice and understand because things happen right. Well after having to fix 12 mistakes and argue that our order was wrong (them lying to us and stating the 1/2 pound of shrimp was 2 pounds) and waiting extra 30 minutes for all of the fixes. We realized that the waiter was avoiding us. We had to ask multiple times for stuff to be refilled or utensils to be given. We had to wave someone down because we had seen that the corn they finally brought us was half eaten a whole side missing or that they had only brought us head on shrimp not headless. We tried not to be rude. However when they brought us the check with no mention of a discount or even an apology, we asked for the manager. She came over with an attitude and when I pointed out the multiple mistakes she replied with "well you got it and ate it" and then continues to state that the most she could offer was 10%. We argued and finally I conceded to 20% to just be able to leave. If she had start giving the check with a discount and apology the issue would have been forgiven, however her attitude and the rest of the staff was so awful I don't know if I Can ever be their...

This was my first time at hooked on crab and it was a fun experience with friends and family. We celebrated one of my best friends turning 28. They had tons of space and had a table ready for us and took our reservation the day before. So our table of 9was set and ready when we arrived. All of the appetizers seemed to come out fairly quick. Brussel sprouts cooked to perfection, baked scallops topped with cheese that I would for sure go back for was presented nicely. The seafood gumbo was full of flavors and tasted fresh. Also the oysters were just$1 For entrees we also did the large combo experience. We ordered one which was plenty for 9 I believe it was packe j or e. It was messy but an experience well never forget and also very tasty. The downside of the experience the server we had was pretty meh. Just wasn't checked up on ever, refills had to be asked for and the gentleman made the check situation more difficult than it had to be. Also the fish and chips was just ok. Overall it was a four stars on food and three...

Seafood boil 🦀 & SUSHI 🍣! Where?? Down in Eastlake you can get Louisiana style seafood boil and rolls of sushi all at one spot 🤩 It’s at Otay Sushi and Crab 🙌 @otaysushiandcrab 😋 and it’s quite delicious! We ordered King Crab legs, mussels, crawfish, clams, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn all in their famous Cajun lemon pepper sauce 🤤! You know we couldn’t skip out on the sushi rolls either 🤤 Everything was so tasty, juicy, flavorful, and even more juicy 😂 You can also pair all this good seafood with sake and beer! Talk about the best combo out there! Head over to Eastlake 🚗 💨 and try them out! You’ll love it 🙌 #eastlakecalifornia #sandiegorestaurants #otaysushiandcrab #eatsandiego
