Falco's Pizza — Restaurant in Cicero

I have been ordering from Falcos for years and every year they got worse. It pains me to write this review and I rarely do write them. But I made an order and they called me to say they didn't have anchovies for my anchovies/pineapple pizza and If I still wanted the pizza. But they hanged up before I said no. I called back to see if I would get a refund for the pizza or change the toppings instead and they said they can't because they threw my order in the oven (pizza with just pineapple) even though I said I didn't want that pizza if it didn't have anchovies. I don't see why you can't just make another I could have waited. Rude staff and manager. Ive been eating from Falcos for 25 years! It truly pains me to write this review but enough is enough with the consistent let downs. That was the worst and rude service I ever experienced.

And many people don't eat just pineapple on pizza "Ms. Manager" I know because I worked in a few pizzerias before and never have I ever heard of an order or made a pizza like that. And you can remake pizzas I have if we didn't have the ingredients to make we always worked with the customer. If you just remade the pizza with different toppings instead of forcing to get just a pineapple pizza I would have been fine but the staff and manager just escalated the whole situation. The person that's the so-called "manager" on the night in October 9th 2023 is the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with in my 44yrs. She refused to let me tell her the issue I had. Which was first, the delivery driver only spoke Spanish which wouldn't be an issue if you only had Spanish speaking customers. Then the delivery driver didn't have my complete order which is inconvenient because now either I take an incomplete order and someone doesn't get their food, I send the order back and wait another hour for the food or I cancel the food and don't get anything. I was willing to take the incomplete order if the lady would've threw me something extra for the inconvenience, which I relayed to her and she refused. She hung up on me after insisting I was "screaming" at her which I was definitely not. I called repeatedly after being hung up on several times and then finally she just left the phone off the hook so I couldn't call back. If I was managing your restaurant I would've told the customer, send the food back, we'll make your correct order, upgrade your pizza and fries sizes and give you $15 in credit for your next order. That's what a professional would do. I hope you care enough about your customers to do something about this. But I'll never know. Because I'll never order from you again. I have been ordering regularly forever as a local from Cicero, where I've lived for over 30 years. This was one of my favorite local pizza joints. A few months ago they got rid of spicy crispy wings, my wife's favorite. Recently I noticed the taste was different on the pizza, it appears they used some different cheese. Today the pizza looked unrecognizable from what I have come to love from falco's. The cheese was different and especially the sauce had a different taste and texture. The pizza looked a lot like home runn inn minus the taste. I hate to say it, but my wife and I both got an upset stomach from the pie. When I picked up the pizzas I noticed a new renovated lobby and some new faces. Not sure if the recipe has changed or if there's new management behind the kitchen. I'll be taking a break from falco's, I hope the pizza returns to normal after all this pandemic craziness is over. Based on other recent reviews, I can see I'm not the only one that's noticed the change in the pizza. Not sure what's up, but they better go back to the original recipe.
