Went to this Portillos yesterday afternoon thru the drive thru, the young man taking customers orders at the drive thru was very professional, very welcoming, very helpful and very respectful. He even told me after paying for my food to have a good day👍 also the rest of the employees were awesome, the only thing that I didnt like about this portillos is that they took like 10 to 15 mns to give me and order customers their food. The supervisor should just start having 2 employees outside to start passing every order that comes out so that customers don't have to wait that long at the drive thru for their food. There was like 4 to 5 cars at the drive thru waiting for their food yesterday. But other than that the food was delicious 👍 I give it a 5, the service because of the long wait at the drive thru I give it a 4 but I know they have room for a little improvement in the service, the atmosphere I give it a 5. Portillos have really delicious food from the chicago hot dog, to the chili dog, the Italian beef sandwich, italian beef combo, broiled chicken sandwich, cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers which are so delicious and taste like homemade burgers that you cook on the grill at home 👍. They have good salads too, cheese fries or fries👍 many other foods also. Hit the drive-through, and the runner confirmed our order as it was handed to us. Once I got home, half of my order was missing, so I thought I'd call ahead so it would be ready, but the call ahead turned to three unanswered calls. Once I arrived, I asked for the manager to address my issue and have my order received done. She put the order through, but now I'm here still waiting a whole 30 minutes later. Meanwhile, the dine-in is moving pretty slow, the orders are backed, up, there's an older line staff that is literally standing just looking around while the rest of the crew seems to be walking on their hands, and the manager nowhere around. During my wait, I witnessed a door dasher or Uber guy wait and ask where he should pick up his order before he finally got frustrated and asked for someone to show him where to pick up only to fi d the orders were not even done. I witnessed a dine-in person whose order was also messed up. Portillos, you need to do better here. Start by teaching whoever the manager is how to manage a team, or just get a real manager who knows how to run a team properly.
