I had been curious and looking for the right weekend to check out Knox Joseph for a while. Long story short, the right time is now!
As a mostly bourbon drinker, I only wish I had done this sooner. I am a bourbon snob and still was surprised at how good their 2 bourbons and 1 american whiskey both were.
The cask strength bourbon is definitely their flagship product, and if that's what you're in the market for, frankly at $18 a pour ($60 a bottle on-site), it's a deal for a high quality, barrel proof bourbon.
I briefly got to meet their head distiller, Taylor, and he is extremely knowledgeable and also openminded. I am excited to see where he takes it.
I would also add that my bartender, Clair, was one of the best I've ever seen in this neighborhood and this city overall.
Definitely swing by and check it out.
They also have a food truck serving standard bar food. I didn't get to try it this time, but I look forward to it...

The outside renovation when summer hits will be great a lot of area with seating ground level and elevated. No view though. Inside is very clean and not crowed at all as you are spaced out. Giant bar with a lot of seating. There house spirits are good 2 gins, vodka and whiskey. The Golden gin was my favorite. They brew beers too. Many styles are represented so you can find something. With the many options you will find something in form of drink and food. ...
Read moreI’m sorry but I don’t know where else to write this review and it’s not towards the distillery itself but they were hosting the event. Came here to see the Beyonce Drag show. Doors were supposed to open at 7 but the cast was still rehearsing, fine no worries, they started letting people in at 7:10. The showtime was supposed to be at 7:30. This guy came out at 7:55 and said the cast was still getting ready and that the show would begin soon, feel free to use the dance floor until the show starts which no one proceeds to do. It’s extremely unprofessional to advertise a ticketed timed event and on a Sunday when people work the following day and not start on time. Waited until 8:40 and finally gave up and left after continuously being told it was starting soon. Like who the hell does this cast think they are, Beyoncé and her actual back up dancers lol, unreal how professional...
