Mi Casita — Restaurant in Cincinnati

This is in a small Mexican retail store. Pinatas, some bakery foods and candies. Emphasis on small. There are maybe 5 tables and a u shaped sitting area. TV in the 'dining' area was on in Spanish. The reason I am saying all this is not that I was upset, it's not what I expected from the reviews. I was traveling for business and decided to visit from the reviews. The food was good but not as glowing as the reviews made it sound. Pretty typical Mexican. It wasn't expensive and they have a wide variety of meats (tongue and jowls if that is your thing). The Cubana sandwich was excellent, one of the best ive had. The tacos are double wrapped in El milagro tortillas, making two of them enough for most people. I like that you can do some shopping while you wait for the food. There are some very cool products you wont find anywhere but maybe Jungle Jims. The staff is very kind. Tried this new joint near our house. We ordered asada, pollo, and carnitas tacos and an order of esquite. Tacos were very good, flavorful, and not greasy. Probably wouldn’t order the esquite again (a bit bland) BUT will absolutely come back for the tacos.
