Sumo Sushi — Restaurant in Cinnaminson Township

This used to be one of my favorite spots for sushi until last Saturday my boyfriend and I came in to have dinner ... service was rushed ... waitress was rude and inattentive ... never received one refill of water ... didn’t come check on us to see if we needed anything ... food is always good but service is a make or break for me .. came back Thursday with a friend service was the same but on top of that my sushi seemed a little on the fatty side I asked why their response was “it’s better sushi; more expensive..it’s cut from the belly and that there were two different salmons they were using” me personally idc if it was more expensive or not I’d prefer for my salmon to not be filled with fat ... for what little salmon was in the roll to begin with ... manager did replace... and did not take the fatty roll back so I decided to take and let my sister try it to see if she could tell the difference well that was a big NO the manager came over to the table and asked me why I was taking it if I didn’t like it but all in all your going to throw it in the trash CORRECT ? That really concerned me .. were they going to preserved it and put in a spicy salmon roll?? Terrible service; very disappointed 😔 I used to...

I’m sorry but idk why someone wrote that review with a low service rating bc if you looked at his pics, he ordered a lot of food from here, I mean a lot! And it takes time to prepare good food so if he had to wait a lil bit longer for his large order then Idky he would complain bc he knows and if you don’t, that the food at Sumo Sushi is GREAT! Now the service is never a problem for me, I know they recently hired a few people who were training this past few weeks and their young so I wouldn’t be hard on them because their just starting there and the one trainee wasn’t Asian either! But the staff is always pleasant and even if the service was slow, which it never has been for myself, I wouldn’t care bc their delicious food would make it all worth it! So try this Sumo Sushi if you haven’t yet, because it’s a place that is always very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is amazing! You’ll be happy you listened to...

This is not acceptable. This is some place I visit regularly for takeout and dine in once in a while. Today I had the worst dining experience I ever had. The fact that we had a live bug on our sushi and the way they treated the problem was very unpleasant. When we told the girl up front about the bug and showed her how it was still moving , all we got was a I'm sorry . No kind of panick no stress about the fact that there was a living bug on our plate. Sad thing is they treated this problem as it was a normal thing . Turned me off big time and alittle frustrated because no act was taken to please the costumer after the issue . Still payed for the whole bill including the sushi with the bug. Hoping we didn't get charged for the live bug we didn't ask for . Things like thous shouldn't happen and if anything worst case if so should be treated professionally , made sure the paying customer is...
