Absolutely disappointing. I read the reviews and have heard from word of mouth about this place being a disappointment but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt since it is fairly new, I should have listened! I did not notice it at first walking in but as I got up to get my food I realized the options were very limited, don't expect to get many various options here. On top of that by the time you get to your table, your food is cold and the food itself is tasteless.. I cannot exactly recommend what to try as I could barely finish anything I got. The service itself was very poor, I did not feel welcomed at all as I did not get greeted by anyone at the front desk or heading to my table, I also felt rushed as someone randomly placed the check right in front of me while trying out the dessert. On top of that any questions I had were met with confusion and a look of annoyance though it could have been a language barrier which is not their fault! It just made it difficult to ask for things I needed or questions I had about the "dessert bar" which also ended up being a disappointment, some of the desserts had a stale taste. Overall I would not go to this place again, and I recommend you to find any other Buffet..
Side note: I went for lunch and the sushi section was nowhere near presentable as the current photos...
Read moreI would rate is as a strong 4 star buffet. It is a new establishment which is way different than the previous “Tokyo gardens”. It was quite a pleasure to visit it before customers, as usually, turn it into trash. I hope it lasts long and keeps a nice interior. As of food … I can’t go higher than 4. Yes, they have something irregular for the buffet menus but the food I tried in some cases lacked basic spices: salt, pepper, garlic. Sushi - 3.5 stars. While they offer a wide assortment of sushi, they could have been of better taste. They offer STEAK which is a rare case these days. Don’t forget to season it because they don’t, and you’ll end up with just a 3 star unseasoned 1/2 inch thick piece of meat. Different shrimp dishes were interesting but not all were tasty. Basically I came to a thought that this buffet easily can substitute all the so-called “restaurants” like “Red Lobster”, “Chili’s” or “steakhouses”. You pay less for more food of a better quality. I’m giving an advice to the cook and the manager - offer people an option to have grilled seasoned shrimp skewers. Overall the price is affordable and it fits the assortment. The waiters do pay attention to the visitors. Right now they easily deserve $5-10 tip. I guess cash...
Read moreThis place is awful. Was so, so excited to try this place after years of it being vacant and dining here when it was a buffet before. The food was not very good, just alright, not nearly as good as the food at the Asian buffet on Sunrise Blvd.
What made this place so bad was the service. The wait-staff here is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. I'm not sure if they have issues in this area but they watch you eat and rush you to pay. If you dont hand over payment right away, they light weight harass you. We had to tell our same waitress twice to pretty much leave us alone and when we spoke up about how we felt, the staff went out of there way to make us uncomfortable in the most passive aggressive way. Even the hibachi grill guy was miserable.
We arrived here 10 minutes before they opened and waited in the car, we came inside right when they opened at 11AM and all of the wait staff was sitting down eating at the tables? That part didn't bother me but it was the fact they made us feel like we were bothering or interrupting them.
Horrible service and will...
