Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Citrus Park

If I can give zero star, I would. Visited this shop 06/13/25 around 8:45 pm. I requested to order a sorbet. The lady staff rudely and instantly said that I cannot order a smoothie. I said, I am not ordering a smoothie, I just want an ice cream/sorbet. She just ignored me and I have to point to her the item I want to order so she can give it to me. When I am about to pay, I advised her that next time, you should be more polite to your customer and to listen attentively to what they're ordering or explain the menu to them instead of giving a nasty attitude right away. She said that I should be the one to be polite to her. I asked for the manager and she said there is no manager. I asked for her name, and she said she will not give it and she "does not care". Worst experience ever. Imagine you go to Haagan Daaz to see the ice cream choices and when you’re ready to order, the employee ignores you and walks over to the middle to take someone else’s order. i’m black by the way so this was definitely an act of racism. my Dominican friend that i was with had translated what she said and it was “don’t take them, take them” to someone that was about to take my order. It wasn’t until another girl from all the way way on the right noticed literally nobody was taking my order and finally decided to take it. I go to this location twice a week and get the same kiddie scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. I always leave a tip because the staff is generally friendly. On this particular day, 1/26/22 at 3:30pm an employee with brown hair & glasses was on the phone when I walked up. I said “Hello” so she could see I was there, then I ordered my usually kiddie cone. I told her it’s usually $5.11 so here’s the amount - plus a tip. She told me to wait because that’s not the price then she charged me nearly $7 for a kids scoop of ice cream. I understand the waffle cone is more but her dismissive demeanor and tone is why I’m writing this review. The price was new to me but fine. I just think they should continue hiring...
