Beware of this place because if you get crappy service like I did and feel like that service does not deserve a tip or a good tip at least, the server will take into their hands to put a WAY more deserving tip on your receipt for themselves after you leave the restaurant! That is stealing and totally illegal! I hzz as ve never had anything like this happen to me at a restaurant and I am super upset and feel like I can’t trust leaving my receipt on the table with my card information on it anymore when I leave. I came here April 22 with my two kids (4 and 2 yrs old) and me being 7 months pregnant. I sat at this restaurant waiting to order for over 25 min and kept seeing the waitress at the bar just on her phone ignoring us like she didn’t have a table to check on. And let me make not that it was completely empty. There were probably only like 2 other tables that had people in them. That’s it! So it was not busy at all. NOT ONCE was any of our drinks refilled or checked on. I was finally brought my food and the food was delicious but I had to wait another almost 30 min just to get the check and ask for a box to take our food and my kids were so tired of sitting there for so long that they were getting bored and started doing what kids do when they get bored and as you can imagine I began to get wore out and impatient. My bill was $42.32 and no I did not leave a tip after everything I dealt with at that restaurant with service and attentiveness. No one would! and tell me why the day later I get a charge saying $50.94 and realize that because I left the receipt back blank other than my signature, the server put a nice little almost $8 tip on there for herself without my consent or awareness that it would be done. I will be reporting this not only to my bank but also proper authorities because this is stealing and I wish I kept that receipt instead of leaving it on the table if I knew they would try to do this. Read moreDined in. Cool atmosphere and clean environment. Food is a bit pricey, which on its on wouldn’t be a problem, but when combined with the low quality and overall not tasty food, it becomes a big problem. I don’t understand how this establishment has a 4.5 star average.
We ordered two appetizers: the kaky fry (fried oysters) and the calamari. They came out quickly, as well as our drinks. The calamari were large rings of squid fried tempura style. Unfortunately they were very bland and overly chewy, and the sauce they were served with was too sweet. The oysters had a much better breading and flavor, but they were served with the same sauce. Also, my water had a weird taste… it tasted like hard water, like it needed to be filtered more to remove the excess minerals. I also ordered a simple salad which we ended up sending back; neither my husband or I could get more than 2 bites a piece in because the dressing was absolutely awful.
For mains we ordered the spider roll, the jumbo lobster roll and the jumbo shrimp tempura roll. The spider roll was fine — not great and not terrible either. The jumbo lobster roll was gross. It was hard to eat, very mushy, and bland. The other roll was the same. My husband did not finish his food.
Service was fine. Our waitress was friendly and our food came out quickly but she didn’t refill our drinks even once while we were there (about 40 min).

I actually love this place, the food is always pretty good but this restaurant scammed me out of nearly $100 and people need to know about it. I placed an order for about $100 worth of sushi on Uber eats. I had to press cancel within seconds because I realized I used the wrong card. I did place the order again using a new card, but when I went to ask for a refund for the old order, I got a message saying refund cannot be issued because merchant started prepping my order…really within 15 seconds? No way. Not to mention I ordered with a new card not even a few minutes later. So I was charged in total $160 for 5 sushi rolls and the restaurant refused to give me my money back for the first order. When I called they said there’s nothing they could do about it and that I’m out $80 for an order I am confident they didn’t even start to prepare . I understand problem should be takin up with Uber eats, however it is up to the business if they want to issue a refund or not and Osaka took my money from me. Absolutely unethical business practice.
