McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Citrus Park

I ordered a PECAN berry salad and waited 15 minutes for it to arrive and was told when it was brought out to me there were no pecans. The server asked if it was ok and did I still want it, but why would I if the main ingredient I ordered it for is missing?! I went to the counter and asked for a refund and the Manager Jim said he will refund it and he was sorry but they never received their shipment of pecans that day. Ok, so why did you sell me an item that you did not have, you should have told me you had no pecans and I would have picked something else, end of problem! I left without eating at 4pm after fasting all day for a catscan and was starving and very upset. I checked my bank a few days later for my refund but it was not there so I called and was told it would be taken care of. Ten days later I still didn't have my refund so I called and spoke to Jim who was very rude and offered to come to my house to give me the cash since they couldn't put it back on my card. Stunningly poor service, sub par product. I made the unfortunate choice to stop in the order a take out item when I was home alone Saturday night 11/5. The store was devoid of customers ( one women was on the bench waiting to pick up) I ordered the French Dip ( asked if I wanted a pickle with the order, I responded, Yes, I love them!)and sat down. after twenty minutes I stood out in front of the counter area. Someone, who appeared to be some level of management but perhaps not on duty asked me if i needed anything , I responded "just the dinner I have been waiting 20 min for" . Still no urgency, as she then moves to help the cashier who is waiting on the only person in the last 20 min place their order. thankfully this person finally got around to looking at the order up on the counter. bagged it up and the cashier gave me my dinner. When I got home ( 2minutes away) opened my dinner I got a stale roll cold beef , a thin sliced of cheese that only covered 2/3s of the meat, salty Au Jus that was hot but unappealing and No pickle. Literally have heard such great things about this place but I lived in Seminole Heights so I was too far in my book to try it. Turkey sandwiches are my favorite thing on the planet so my first experience with them was catering to my baby shower last October. SO DANG GOOD was blown away everything was perfect. I stopped eating turkey until after I had my baby for health reasons and decided it would be my first postpartum meal. I left the birthing center 4 hours postpartum and immediately door dashed McAllisters sandwich side of mac for my first meal YUMMMMM. Okay maybe that isn't fair because any meal immediately after giving birth is going to be heavenly. Went two more times got the Jalapeno Turkey and Savannah Salad, my goddd so tasty and reasonable price especially for the quality. Went again today got the Memphis and the Savannah salad ❤️❤️ My husband and I were just like omg they blow it out of the water every time. I literally stopped my work task right now to leave a 5 star review I'm obsessed and wish I lived closer. They should open one in Land O Lakes....
