Culver’s — Restaurant in Florida

We frequent this Culver’s a lot because we live right up the street on Hudson lane. The food is always hot and fresh and I have no complaints when it comes to any of the hot foods. We mostly come for the concrete mixers and sometimes they are mixed perfectly so there are still big chunks of cookie dough and Reese’s or whatever else we feel like adding in, but other times they are mixed so hard it’s more like a milkshake and they come out soupy and blended up where you can’t tell what’s in it. I wish I knew the schedule of the person who was mixing the concrete mixers so whoever does them right I can make sure to go on those nights.😂 The three star rating isn’t because of that though, because we live up the street we usually bring our dogs and they love the pup cup! However, some nights when it’s a quick run we like to just bring home a pup cup for them and avoid a mess in the car. If they are not with us I always insist on paying for them because I totally get that people probably take advantage and give it to their kid or something. When I just went on 11/18 I made my usual order and explained the dogs were not with me but I would like to pay for two pup cups. The person on the speaker kind of huffed and was like it’s fine. Then when I pulled up to pay, the cashier was super rude and just avoided the pup cups all together and gave me an attitude about my order being specifically two concrete mixers only. Again, I offered to pay and would have been completely fine with paying for two kids cups or something. This isn’t the first time the cashier has been rude to me when going here. She seems like she is super miserable and I get it, customer service jobs really suck sometimes but I was super nice and I just feel like maybe she shouldn’t be working as the cashier where so many people are greeted if she’s going to have an attitude all the time. One of the most disappointing locations by far. I have given them 4 tries now to get it right and not once could they even do that. I understand the store is new and still getting its legs but this is ridiculous! Visit 1: forgot the custard I ordered and I went in to grab it and it was already partially melted and the staff was staring at me like I was insane for wanting my food that I paid for. Visit 2-4 all were pretty similar in that they got the orders right but it took them 15-30 minutes to get it out to me and even then the food was lukewarm at best. The 3 lane system would be great if it wasn’t so poorly build and executed. Prioritize orders that were there first. To be sitting in any lane at the front of that lane and having 5+ orders who showed up after you get their order taken, paid for the food, placed in a lane, and served their food is ridiculous! The manager brought my food on the 3rd visit and all but dropped the bag because he was in such a hurry. But lets focus on the main issue of this visit which really sinks the nail in the proverbial coffin. If you see the attached photo; you will notice the SMASHED cheese sauce that was allowed to be served to me that soaked into my pretzel bites and made them soggy before I even got to eat them. I have to say I was super excited to see the Carrollwood location under construction but since it has opened I have been let down every time we have visited. Some staff has been friendly and then others not so much. The young lady taking payment tonight needs work on her customer service skills. The food taste has been good, my issue has been that both times we ordered the fish the crust has been soggy. I suggest finding a better serving vessel as I think the plastic boxes hold in too much moisture. And for the price the last thing I expect is soggy fish! Then tonight we ordered 2 single scoops of Chocolate Oreo Volcano Explosion and it looked nothing like the pictures! When the sweet young man handed them to me I thought he made a mistake and gave me plain chocolate custard until I saw 1 little yellow M&M. Then as we ate we found 2 or 3 pieces of Oreo but never found any of the Dove chocolate pieces. I hope things get better but for now we plan to take a break...
