Albany halal grill — Restaurant in City of Albany

Food, decent. They are the new sauce police. They are so uptight about giving out extra sauces that they miss the whole point of eating halal food. It's new york city, you run up to a food cart that serves halal. They ask for what sauce and you tell em, extra white sauce with hot sauce and they splatter your food with that special white sauce. It's good. It's delicious. You want more.. that should be the experience but here at albany halal, they are so cheap with their sauce that it leaves a sour note. I ordered mixed grill which comes with different sorts of meats. More than your regular platter dishes. Cost more too. I also ordered 3 extra kebabs in case the mixed grill wasn't enough. My total was close to 40 dollars. This business doesn't splatter the sauces on top. Instead, comes on the side in a small container. I asked for an extra white sauce and the lady is like, no. I said I ordered extra kebabs.. the lady said, those order doesn't come with white sauce. Now, I spent close to 40 bucks and I can't get an extra white sauce? Wow.. it's like, they are down to count the last penny that they forget what a food business is all about. With more food, some people want more sauces. I wasnt asking for like 10 sauces.. Just one extra white sauce and of course they have to charge for it. Wow.. if the food was great, I would maybe go back.. but in all honesty, food was alright. That extra charge for the white sauce left such a sour note, I would not go back. Will look elsewhere that offers more reasonable business practice. Also, there are so many great halal spots in albany. No need to sweat the penny...

I called before placing an Uber eats order to ask/verify if falafel options were vegan, and the person said yes. I indicated all over the order of each of the 3 items to please make vegan. I should have known tzatziki sauce is dairy-based. I ate my falafel gyro and suspected I ate dairy from my body's reaction. I called again and asked if their tzatziki has dairy in it, he said yes! I have been enjoying food from this place since I 1st tried it this past winter. I'm very disappointed to find a small piece of metal wire in my food. Not sure what to call it but it's definitely metal. It kind of looks like a small piece of a brillo pad. While the food is delicious, I can't eat comfortably from a place where I'm always going to be looking through the food to see if there's a piece of metal or worrying about what foreign objects are in my fork...
