My grandma who is 81 wanted some soul food today & my sister suggested kitchen 216, although I have never heard of it I said okay, my sister who takes care of my grandmother asked me to pick up the food and to get a paper receipt. Lord when I tell you , the hell I went though to still not end up with a paper receipt. I asked politely first for a paper receipt, the lady who gave me the food could not give me one. So another bigger lady came up and said we sent your receipt to the email address, I told her I was picking up for an older woman and she asked for a paper receipt.(probably to write her food off or to keep track of her spending, she’s 81) she gave me an attitude bc I said I don’t understand why is this hard to get a paper receipt, I was genuinely asking a real question. Then she told me that if I wanted a receipt that she can refund my money and take back the food . Never have I gone to a restaurant that was unable to provide me a paper receipt and threaten to take back the food . Then a man proceeds to help me, he’s asking for the number to look up the information and the bigger lady is talking over him , being rude and ignorant. I literally just asked for a paper receipt. I understand that it was emailed but also if I asked for a paper receipt as well you should be able to do that as well without attitude. I never had a problem getting a receipt before and ask the bigger lady proceeded to use a terrible example that Walmart wouldn’t give me a paper receipt if I ordered online . I literally was like what are you talking about bc I have done that and still have gotten a receipt. I write all this to say that THERE REALLY IS A PROBLEM WITH HAVING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE& THE CUSTOMERS HAVING A GOOD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IN THIS COMMUNITY . Smh if I went to black and blue I wouldn’t of have this issue.
To your reply. What I said was not fabricated, it was my horrible experience at your establishment. You are trying to make it seem as if I went there looking for a fight and I was so rude and wrong but that’s not true at all and also saying that your husband did not speak to me is a lie. He literally asked me what the phone number was so he could look the order up and I said in the same tone that I had the entire time that I just needed a paper receipt and I don’t understand why it’s so hard to get one. But you were yelling over him trying to prove a point instead of leaving the situation alone. My tone never changed you started telling me that I can leave and you can give me a refund because I wanted a paper receipt for my grandmother. Wouldn’t it make more sense for your business to at least still have my money ? All of this over a paper receipt. I didn’t have a tantrum , I simply asked for a receipt and was confused why your “restaurant” couldn’t provide me one. I promise you if I order chipotle online and go pick it up and ask for a paper receipt they are not giving me the ticket order, they are giving me the actual receipt. Please go and test that theory so you know how an actual establishment conducts there business. I was not loud and also let’s calm down you had all of 2 people in there and they where looking at you because you where yelling at me. there peace was disturbed because you gave me an attitude over wanting a receipt. Then when you guys moved to central I ordered from there and had a bad experience and it blew me off from wanting to order from you guys. I came in ordered and was told 30 minutes which is typical and I didn’t mind. I came back my order still wasn’t ready and I was asked again how I wanted my steak so I was confused because I had a slip that said well done and what sides I wanted but I brushed it off . I was told by the cashier you guys had so many orders and mines got lost in translation somehow and you came up also and I should of came in early if I wanted my steak well done which i did my order just didn’t get made for some reason , fine ish happens and I’m understanding but not understanding to me spending my hard earned to be told I can’t get my food how I wanted it to be !! So I was looking for something to eat tonight and I thought oh you guys are opened again let me give you a chance again , when I walked I was amazed because it was so beautiful inside and a big step up from lark and central !! The person that took my order was amazing also . I get home I slam my meal and my mom and daughter are slamming theirs too !! My mom loves your husbands cooking hands she’s could tell who was cooking the string beans when you guys were located on lark street , and my daughters father also worked for you guys also at the lark location . My daughter was eating her chicken and she just came in the room to tell me that there was hair in her food , like a big clump of brown hair after she devoured majority of her food and honestly she just puked everywhere . Read moreI would give it 0 stars if I could ....... first of all the food is OKAY not worth waiting several hours for a 3 piece fried chicken meal to be delivered to your home. I ordered over the phone for delivery and it wasn’t until I called several hours later to see the status of my food that I was told that my delivery was just heading out the door.......... I’m convinced if I wouldn’t have called and asked I wouldn’t have got my order. The worst part was that I literally had to call their phone over ten times for them to finally answer my phone call and when they did I was put on hold for over 20 minutes - I was able to hear everything that was going on in the store and they literally had no customers just kept me on the phone waiting just because they didn’t feel like being on the phone. One day, I was parked outside of the store and ordered over the phone for pick up and they did not answer the phone AT ALL- they literally had nooooo customers at allllll in the store. The girls at the register were talking up a storm instead of answering the phone. When I went inside the store to order and asked why my phone wasn’t answered, they simply replied “we get busy sometimes” and I told them “but there’s nobody here..... and I’ve been sitting in my car right outside of this restaurant....” these girls need new jobs because this isn’t it for them and they’re going to put this place out of business for being lazy and not answering phone calls for potential customers. And don’t even get me started on how terrible the service is once you order and get your food in person .......... they take FOREVER and 99% of the time they forget you’re waiting for your food so you’re just standing there for several hours waiting for someone to notice you.
