I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got there today. This is truly a hidden gem behind a little tienda. The staff was very friendly, warm, and welcoming. We didn’t feel rushed, but the service was very prompt.
Now on to the food. The guacamole is super fresh and has a nice citrus/cilantro zip...it really wakes up the palate. Nice selection of bebidas, but I somehow missed the horchata...will try next time. We ordered lengua, campechanos (steak & chorizo), and al pastor tacos. The lengua was super tender but had a lighter than expected flavor. The campechanos was delicious...nice and crispy too! The al pastor was seasoned perfectly. We also tried the al pastor huarache, which was delish. Lots of beans, avocado, meat, and crema on a soft(ish) flatbread.
The green salsa has good fresh flavor and nice heat.
Looking forward to visiting again and trying dessert!
I feel the prices are respectable for what you get. 4 dined to our fill for $55 (including 4...

I bring new friends here to impress them with authentic Mexican food. While Guacamole can be a simple dish to prepare, the guacamole here is incredibly fresh and flavorful. The chips are made in house. All food is made to order, and this place is always busy with outside delivery orders, so I would be wary to eat here if you are in a rush.
Personal Recommendations: The Huaraches with either beef, chicken, or Lengua (beef tongue). its large, personal-pizza sized flat-bread that is GENEROUSLY topped with your choice of meat, chopped tomatoes, onions, queso fresco, beans, and their own dressing on top. Just wow.
if you want to impress your friends with your knowledge of 'the spot' for authentic Mexican food, bring them here. They wont believe they've even had Mexican food before savoring the dishes at...
Read moreI would describe the place as a cute, semi hole in the wall. Very unassuming from the street, but much bigger inside than originally thought it would be. The place is very clean and cheery. Our waitress was great, very helpful, and ur food came out quickly. Speaking of the food, everything was delicious! Loved it all! We ordered one of each of three tacos. Lengua, Cecina, and Chapulines. They were all really good. liked the chapulines a lot, but my husband wasn't a huge fan because he doesn't love the smoky chipotle flavor. He preferred the lengua. And we both enjoyed the cecina. We also ordered one huitlacoche huarache, one carnitas sope, and one tinga tostada. Everything was delicious. They also brought two different sauces for us. The red sauce they gave us was a bit spicy and the green sauce was mild, both were very tasty. We would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for...
