First time visitor I was getting my tire fixed across the street. I stopped by when there was only one customer ahead of me, so service moved quickly. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming, both with me and other guests. Inside, there are tabletop seating options and what looks like a full bar. Music was playing overhead—felt like an old DJ club mix—but the visuals on the screen weren’t really child-appropriate. I ordered the curry goat. I live in Schenectady but I do a lot of Real estate in Albany so I am there daily. I have tried many of the Jamaican spots in Albany with having a Jamaican mother I crave the food regularly. I was not disappointed at all by the food! I ordered the curry goat, cabbage with rice & peas. The curry goat taste similar to my grandma’s cooking in Queens. Very tender and flavorful. So I’ve been missing out on all this good food for a year they’ve been open. To start the macaroni salad blew me out of the wata everything from flavors to texture was Perfect. Digging into my curry chicken white rice n cabbage was nothing short of amazing. So perfectly season with a nice spice to the meal for that kick. Make sure you grab a Cranberry Wata.
