Ralph's Italian Ices-Glen Cove — Restaurant in City of Glen Cove

This 1 star review is solely based on the service here. The attitude filled teenage girls you have running your store this year are absolutely atrocious to deal with. They start closing the store down at 9pm when it closes at 10pm. On NUMEROUS occasions have myself & my husband been here within the hours of 9-10pm in the last month. EVERY SINGLE TIME have they given immense attitude when we’re ordering, the soft serve machine is off, all toppings for sundaes are put away, they even claim that the hard ice cream is gone too which I highly doubt. They’re clearly just in a rush to leave.

I went there last night at 9:22pm and the girl with black curly hair had the most insane attitude when my husband ordered a Sundae. She went into the back to make it, had a quick convo with the other girl that was working last night. While both of them are clearly talking about us because the curly haired girl is literally STARING at me. Just staring me down like I did something to her. She then puts the cup back onto the shelf, comes over and says “yeah we just aren’t doing any sundaes right now” with of course an attitude as if I’m asking her for a favor & not for the product of the store she’s working for. When asked why she then says all the caramel is gone for the night. So then my husband says okay can I just get it the ice cream with peanuts then. She then proceeds to roll her eyes and say oh so you just wanted nuts on it? With of course an attitude.

Needless to say I wanted to say something but she’s literally half my age and I’m not gonna yell at a little girl. Instead I told them never mind and HAPPILY drove 20 mins to Ralph’s of Greatneck where I was met with the most pleasant and happy employees that welcomed me with a smile. Who didn’t turn the machines off, put away toppings and wasn’t upset when I ordered.

I live in the neighborhood and the couple people I’ve spoken to about this today have allllll agreed that they were treated the same way. I wouldn’t be coming back here for the rest of the year. Getting some of my favorite ice cream after an extremely long day shouldn’t make me want to curse out a little girl with an attitude problems.

And to be clear it’s not just her. It’s also the squad of 4-5 girls you have working on the weekends. They’re all terrible. Needless to say I wouldn’t be come back here even if it is 6 mins from my house. I’ll be going...

I haven’t been to Ralph’s in some time but The price for Two small ices was $10. I know prices have increased for everything but I don’t know how this increase is justified. a small used to be $2.50 and now doubled. Getting ice cream at the supermarket for now on…

response to the owner, gas prices fluctuate on a daily basis which is expected. Menu prices on food never/rarely decrease in price...

My mother and I went today, and whomever (young girl) was working the shift got an order wrong. She was also rude to my mother by shrugging shoulders and giving attitude since whatever flavors she wanted weren't available, and blamed the "pdf."
