In the past I have been thrilled with my pizza and satisfied with my service at the Hudson Baba Louie's. Today this was NOT the case. I always order one of the signature pizzas and swap one or two of the toppings without issue. Today despite the fact that I swapped toppings I was charged as though I had added toppings. This brought the price of my small pizza up to equal the price of a large pizza. When one of the waitresses came over I pointed out the mistake to her and explained that I had been charged for adding toppings when I had in fact swapped toppings. I explained that I always ordered my pizza this way without an up charge. The waitress was rude and unhelpful. She told me that I was wrong and that it had always been that way. When I made it clear that I knew it was not always this way she then said that they had just changed their computer system. Apparently the new system does not allow for substitutes, only additions. If this is truly a change to the way Baba Louie's does pizza then it should be made clear when ordering. Due to the lack of willingness of this staff member to remedy the situation I will not return to the Hudson...
Read moreClosing time is at 8pm on Sundays, my Husband and I went in at 7:36p. The host asked me to wait, then asked the manager where to sit myself and my husband. The manager came out and told her employee in a clipped and short tone that we could not be sat at a table because it was too close to closing time and if we wanted to order, we'd have to do take-out. She never even talked to us even though we were right there.
The manager also stated that there were "No tables clear" when there were 2 tables completely open (see below pictures), and other patrons had just told us that they were just sat at a table.
24 minutes before the marked closing at a normal dinner hour should not equate to business being turned away in the first place, let alone in such a blatantly rude and passive-aggressive way.
Being gay, my Husband and I are used to being discriminated against, but not when the business is flying a pride flag on its door and states that it's LGBTQ+ friendly.
Would absolutely not recommend to our LGBTQ+ friends and allies...
