Franco's Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Ithaca

Came to visit went by the reviews. I bought a large extra pepperoni looked delicious until my son grabbed the first piece and the pizza was so super floppy that the entire layer of sauce pepperoni and cheese slide off the slice. There was no undercarriage holding up the slice. Plus the pizza was very. Very saucy... So I got a very floppy saucy pie... The sauce was very overpowering. The sauce is very bland.. I tasted it from the cup of sauce they give you for the knots.. I'm glad I put garlic powder red pepper and parmesan cheese on the pizza bc it def needed more flavor... Oh and the guy told me 15 minutes and waited 30 mins that's no big deal.. my deal is with the saucy floppy pie where you pick up a slice and everything falls off.. it was alright pizza plus how can An Italian pizza shop not have coca cola everybody knows especially italians know Italian pizza needs coke to...

Franco's pizza is amazing! New to the area, and even with all the food options, have had Franco's on multiple occasions. Their plain pie is great on it's own - we called ahead for carryout and were super impressed. They also offer sicilian style pizza, but haven't tried that yet. They currently offer in house dining. There's a drink cooler with sodas, water, seltzer, etc. Pies are have tossed, and you can see them in action if you're there. Slices (already made) available (reheated in oven) - options vary depending upon what's available, but a fun opportunity to try something new. Owner(s) and staff very friendly and take seem to appreciate their patrons....

This looks like an unassuming pizza place but don't be fooled. This is a great oven baked pizza by the slice place. We tried the artichoke slice, a ricotta slice and a basic cheese slice. Artichoke pizza wasn't overwhelmingly vegetable tasting and the sauce added a nice dimension to it, ricotta slice had a great garlic taste to it and the cheese was soft and perfectly cooked. But my favorite was the basic cheese slice - that's how you know a great pizza place. It was perfectly cheesy but not too greasy, and the tomato sauce was just the right thickness and added a nice moisture to the dough. Next time we want pizza when we're in Ithaca, this is the only...
