Sweet N’ Salty — Restaurant in City of Ithaca

This place has to be a money laundering scheme... unpacked boxes in the back of the store, aggressive purple decor, and one, singular employee who genuinely seemed caught off-guard when we came in. Only took cash or Venmo as payment 🤨. Took him 30 minutes to make 2 orders of churros, which were raw on the inside and came with candies with the wrappers still on. No shade to Sweet N' Salty because while it provided my friends and I intense intestinal discomfort, it also provided some much-needed entertainment value and fodder for inside jokes during February Break. This place is super chaotic and there is stuff everywhere. We ordered pizza cones and it was a complete disappointment. They seem to be microwaved and this led to the pizza cones getting hard once it cooled down. The cone had a folded napkin at the bottom of the container, which stuck to the food itself and to top it off, it smelled like cigarettes.

There is also only one person here working so the food is taking forever to serve. It’s been about an hour and we only ordered 3 crepes and 2 pizza cones.

The crepes are okay. Definitely doesn’t make you wanna come back.

The banana split was HUGE! A dream place for anyone who really loves sweets like me. The picture doesn’t do it justice because it’s a bit melted (my bad), but it was the best split I’ve had.
