My wife and I went to Lone Wolf last night and it was amazing! The ambience is a perfect balance of quirky yet sophisticated. We got there shortly after they opened (around 5:15pm) and saw them fill up within half hour. I loved to watch the bartenders, waitstaff, and owners work together to accommodate everyone. The owners were hosts, cleaned tables, washed glasses, made drinks, and still went around tables making sure guests were enjoying themselves. Having worked in restaurants when I was younger, I can say that it is nice to work for kind and involved owners like that, and now it is my pleasure to patronize this business.
The drinks: Their bartenders are the best. I've always said that a bad drink can ruin good food, but you don't have to worry about that here. You don't worry about over pouring, or drinks not tasting well. The garnish and presentations of the cocktails resemble the romantic ambience, with the dim lights and candles throughout the establishment. A big shout out to Andrew, who is a true master of his craft. The bartenders are not afraid to make you drinks outside of the menu. For example, I am from Peru and love Pisco sours. Andrew grabbed the bottle of Pisco and made two delicious Pisco sours. I've had to go to Newburgh or Manhattan to get a good Pisco Sour, but now I know that the bartenders at Lone Wolf are more than capable of making you "non-traditional" drinks (not one establishment in Ulster County so far can make a good Pisco Sour, assuming they know what it is). Sabrina also made amazing bourbon cocktails. The mixology skills at this bar are top notch!
Food: We tried a bunch of things from their menu. We started with some French Fries, the ahi tuna rice crispies, and the pork sliders. The fries were good, but take that with a grain of salt (see what i did there?) since in Ulster County you can win a fries poll by serving frozen French fries with good sauces. You may like them, or you may not, so try for yourself. Now, the ahi tuna came with delicious avocado and a jalapeño. The combination of flavors, and the freshness of the fish on a rice crispy just melted in your mouth. Same with the pork sliders. As you can see, they were a good size and the flavors worked well together.
Dessert: The cake and the bignettes are to die for! The perfect compliment to the cocktails. The bignettes came with chocolate and raspberry to dip in and the lemon cake cane with some edible candy. The Lone Wolf has become one of our favorites, if not our favorite, place to go! We left our daughter with grandma and had a much needed romantic date night. We talked to some people at the bar and interacted with both bartenders. I highly recommend this establishment, but also recommend making a reservation unless you plan on getting early. We were lucky because it was full 45mins...

Shoutout to Lone Wolf in Kingston!
Last night, we found ourselves in a bit of a scramble. Our original plans fell through, and we needed somewhere last-minute to accommodate a large groupâ10 to 12 people. I walked into Lone Wolf with no expectations, just hoping they could somehow fit us in.
Not only did they make it work, but they delivered an exceptional experience that deserves recognition.
The team at Lone Wolf started by setting up not one but two tables to accommodate us, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Drinks arrived quickly, the food followed shortly after, and every single dish was an absolute hit. Lone Wolf has a small, curated menu, and I think itâs safe to say we ordered at least one of everything they had. Every bite was full of flavor, perfectly executed, and beautifully presented. We couldnât stop raving about itâthe kind of food that makes your order seconds and keeps you talking about it long after the plates are cleared.
Then, the evening took an even better turn.
As more friends unexpectedly joined us, our group grew to 16, and instead of it being a problem, Anton, the owner, stepped in and made sure we were all taken care of. He turned on the outdoor heaters, set up a large table outside, and created a cozy, private setup for us outside. Where we ordered more food and drinks đ
But what really sets Lone Wolf apart isnât just the incredible food or even the thoughtful accommodationsâitâs the warmth and generosity that makes you want to come back. Case in point: when we were sorting out the bill at the end of the night, Anton surprised us with a round of shots on the house. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it turned what started as a scramble into a night we wonât forget.
I donât often post reviews here, but experiences like this deserve to be celebrated. Lone Wolf has consistently impressed me with their cocktails, food, and service, but this went far beyond expectations. If you havenât been yet, go grab a cocktail, try their menu (seriously, youâll love everything), plan better than we did đ , and soak in the kind of experience that reminds you why we support local restaurants.
In the end, we all spent $50-80 each, which includes cocktails, beer, and food. It was a celebration, after all. đ„ł
Cheers to Anton and the amazing team at...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of going to Lone Wolf tonight. Throughout the entire building there are little odes to it's name blended into the decor. The music was a vibe and quite the enjoyable playlist. The lighting is low and intimate. The entire atmosphere was just it. The website has the menu (food and drinks) accessible online so we were able to sort of pick what we thought we'd enjoy prior. We ordered quite a few items off of the food menu; the hot honey chicken, chicken liver pate, spicy tuna crispy rice, fries, and pork buns. For cocktails we enjoyed the Lone Ranger, the American Trilogy and the mocktail Meet Me at Midnight. The lone ranger is very reminiscent of a whiskey punch ( bourbon & pineapple) but has more of a spiced spin with the falernum. There was not one thing we ate or drank tonight that we didn't enjoy. The hot honey chicken was perfectly spicy-makes you sweat but I promise in a palatable way. The one menu item I'm sure I'll have dreams about for days is the spicy tuna crispy rice. It was the perfect umami flavor bomb. When you go, don't miss out on adding the truffle parm to your fries. For dessert we ordered the beignets and had creme brulee. The creme brulee had such a silky custard. Pricing is absolutely reasonable and shocking for the quality of food you receive. Most dishes averaged between 10-12 dollars and had just the right portions to share for two. The whole experience was awesome and we were on the receiving end of some incredible customer service. Our server was super attentive. There was never a moment we waited to order, get refills, etc. They also were very knowledgeable of the menu and able to help make suggestions for after dinner cocktails. We will definitely be...
