Vincenzo's Pizzeria & Ristorante — Restaurant in City of Kingston

After trying almost every single one, this is honestly my favorite pizza spot in town. It's a small place and there isn't a ton of seating so we usually call ahead for pick up, but the service is always excellent (friendly, professional, respectful, quick, and precise), orders are accurate, and nothing is ever missing. We left one time and forgot to grab my cannoli (which are fire, btw) and the owner chased us down the street to get it to us before we drove off (which is above and beyond service, if you ask me). The wings are excellent (try the uptown rush sauce, you won't be disappointed), the pizza is perfect every time (great crust, perfect homemade sauce, high quality cheese and toppings), the sandwiches are top notch, and I have never ever been disappointed with a pasta dish. Vincenzo's was recommended by a friend so we went there the other day, it was subpar at best. There was a nasty taste on the over cooked pizza, my wife said it must have been whatever they oil the pan with, it smelled a bit like motor oil. The pepper and sausage sub was acidic, the sauce was nasty. The empanadas were prefried then warmed up, they were small, dried out and tasteless. We had to go up to the waitress and request plates and water, she acted like we were bothering her. There are plenty of other places in the area, we will never go back and frequent Vincenzos...

Vincenzo's is an amazingly delicious, friendly, family owned pizza parlor. Vincenzo and his dad are always quick with a warm, genuine smile and friendly conversation. The place is beautifully decorated and very clean. Their pizza and all the other dishes we've tried are absolutely top notch and consistently perfect. They don't deliver, due to difficulties with parking, etc uptown. Normally that would be a deal breaker for a pizza place, but Vincenzo's is worth the drive to get it yourself, and while you wait, you get to talk to Vincenzo and his dad. Best Italian restaurant...
