Our recent experience at Kenny’s on the Water was, unfortunately, the worst we’ve ever had dining out. My wife and I rarely get a date night away from our 3-year-old, so we were looking forward to a relaxing evening. Instead, we left feeling deeply uncomfortable and disappointed.
We arrived for our 7:30pm reservation but encountered chaos immediately—valet staff lost car keys and there was no clear direction on where to park or what to do. This confusion made us late, and we walked in around 7:50pm.
We politely asked to be seated in a quieter area, preferably closer to the water. The hostess told us it would be another 5–10 minutes, so we waited at the bar and let her know where we’d be. Instead of a simple acknowledgment, she seemed stressed and told my wife, “you can see your table from the bar,” and reminded us it was our choice not to take the first available table. This was unnecessary—my wife was just making sure we could be found.
When we raised our concerns, the manager excused the hostess’s behavior by saying she was “a young person,” as if that justified the attitude. We were finally seated around 8:00pm, but the mood was already soured.
The ambiance was off: at around 8:30pm, harsh construction lights lit up the outside, making the setting unpleasant. The menu is standard Italian fare—nothing unique. The chicken parm and pasta were just average.
At the end of our meal, my wife was still upset and asked to speak with the manager again. Instead, a different woman arrived, claimed to be the manager, and proceeded to belittle us. She referenced security cameras and implied our late arrival was our fault due to the valet issue, which felt accusatory and dismissive. She then accused me of making a sexist comment, which was both shocking and unfounded. When we tried to leave, she continued to argue and questioned my wife’s experience in customer service, insisting on having the last word even after we’d paid.
We left feeling not just disappointed, but genuinely uncomfortable and unwelcome. The staff’s attitude, lack of professionalism, and inability to handle a simple customer service issue ruined what should have been a special night. I would not recommend Kenny’s on the...

Every time we visit Kenny’s on the Water in New Rochelle, we’re reminded why we keep coming back—it’s consistently exceptional in every way. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed. Our waitress, Crystal, was absolutely wonderful—so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made us feel right at home and took care of us with genuine care and professionalism.
We were also greeted by Sue, the manager, who never misses a beat. She is the definition of grace under pressure—always present, always ensuring that every table is happy, and always bringing a personal touch to the experience. Her professionalism shines and truly elevates the atmosphere.
As for the food—simply outstanding. We started with the raw clams and shrimp cocktail, and they were incredibly fresh. The accompanying sauces were perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor.
For the main course, my husband had the filet mignon, cooked exactly to his preference—a perfect medium well. It was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, a real standout. I had the Scallops & Shrimp Al Limone, and it was divine—light yet rich, with just the right amount of lemony zest that paired beautifully with the seafood.
The drinks were top-notch—thoughtfully made and delicious—and we ended our meal with a slice of creamy cheesecake, espresso, and cappuccino that were the perfect finale to a memorable night.
I’ve already recommended Kenny’s to several friends, and I’ll continue to do so. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a top-quality meal with top-notch service, Kenny’s never disappoints. Looking forward to...

Let’s talk about the drinks—my Hugo Spritz was absolutely fantastic! It instantly took me back to Sicily with its perfect balance of fresh, zesty flavors and that slight herbal kick. I could sip on that all day and never get tired of it. A true masterpiece in a glass.
As for the food, the seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. Every bite was full of flavor, and you could tell the ingredients were top quality. The burger. I know, it’s not a seafood dish, but trust me—it had the perfect jar (you know what I mean, right? The right amount of juiciness, crispy edges, and a rich, mouthwatering bite).
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, offering great recommendations and making sure we were taken care of without hovering. And can we talk about the view? Dining with a stunning water view is always a win, and Kenny’s truly takes advantage of that. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy great food and drinks.
