Maestro's — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

Went out to dinner last night with a friend and we decided to stop at this Gem! Maestro's is always consistent when it comes to whipping up the Italian classics and the staff is welcoming and kind. We ordered the Mozzarella Spedini and Calamari Arrabiata to start. My favorite appetizers on the menu! For the main course I asked our waiter Anthony to whip me up something different. I wasn't in the mood for pasta, but I wanted their Vodka Sauce. He mentioned to me their special of Veal Chop Parm, but he substituted the Marinara for Vodka Sauce and I instantly jumped on that. The plate arrived with this Tomahawk style Veal Chop oozing with Vodka Sauce! It was something I've never seen done before but I was all for it. The veal was very tender and full of flavor from the breading that it had. I will definitely make sure to order this again the next time...

We’ve been here several times. Food is good, big servings, nice salad comes with meal. However, tonight was horrible. We asked the waitress if there was meat in a pasta dish and she said no. The person ordering keeps kosher and does not eat meat outside of her home. When she got her meal, she immediately tasted meat. We asked someone else if there was meat and he said yes. So instead of waiting for another dish to be cooked, we asked them to split a huge pasta dish one of us had. They charge $5 for sharing and said it was a rule and the manager wouldn't waive the $5 sharing charge even though it was their mistake!! The manager didn’t even come out to apologize. We just left. I wanted a quiet atmosphere with authentic italian food. The food OK nothing to brag about. The place was quiet yet extremely tiny which made it a bit uncomfortable. However the make it or break it was the service.....absolutely TERRIBLE. Our waiter was miserable I mean to the point he made our whole family (7) extremely uncomfortable. We felt rushed and like a bother the entire time. The bread was like a basket of hockey pucks. The salad was skimpy and soggy. Would've had a much better time at a diner.
