I love this place. They have won awards for their avocado toast and when you try it you’ll see why. Everything tastes homemade and made with love. I love their espresso too. 3 stars for service because I had an incident where I was given non gluten free bread once and also cheese when I asked for none as I have both food intolerances which cause massive widespread inflammation for me that can last weeks into months. The person I spoke dealt with did not apologize/seemed annnoyed and it happened both times with her. However, it’s such a rare find to find a place with such good food and GF options for me (coming from the BX) that I wound up going back and it hasn’t happened since. Everyone there knows me now and automatically knows what I order but I just think people need to take food allergies and concerns much more seriously than they do. The atmosphere is cute and it’s a nice place to read a book or work on...

I absolutely love this place! I have been here various of times and they have not disappointed me. I was fixing my car in 5th Ave in Pelham and was really craving their avocado toast. I WALKED all the way from the mechanic to the restaurant just so I can have that toast. It is absolutely worth it and easily one the best avocado toast I’ve had. The ingredients together bring such a luscious flavor and well seasoned. I cannot stress it enough. This dish should be Michelin starred. The lox salmon is also a great option. Tip! Order the poached egg with it, it makes the avocado toast even better. I also recommend the pork belly cubano. That pork is well seasoned! It’s very tender, and a good mixture of the cuero/skin and the meat really does this sandwich justice. The condiment isn’t too spicy nor overwhelming and compliments the sandwich in itself. This restaurant is...
Read morePop’s Espresso Bar is a solid choice for breakfast in downtown New Rochelle. There are six two-seat tables inside, so they tend to fill up quickly. There are so few options in the immediate area for a high quality breakfast at a reasonable price. Some unexpected finds were the chicken sausage sandwich, the cinnamon muffin French toast, the Donollis, and the breakfast sandwich options. I also enjoy the fresh pastries and espresso drinks. They also offer lunch, although I’ve never tried it.
I am taking a star off for not having a bathroom. I was frankly surprised that a sit-down café would operate without one. Other than that, I have only positive things to say about Pop’s...
