Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in City of Niagara Falls

We came in on Saturday Sept 21, 2019. On our way home to Canada. We wanted a bite before crossing the border. We came in for 3 and figured it would be less busy and it was. We were seated right away and our server came over to take our drink order. After a few minutes she came back with 3 drinks there were only two of us. I asked for water my husband ice tea she brought water, ice tea and diet coke...because she couldn't remember what we wanted to drink. Thanks should have been the clue to leave. But we had looked over the menus...and Lunch was still being served until 4. So i wanted the Lunch Fajita because it comes with rice and beans and looked delicious. But i was told the Lunch menu only applied Monday to Friday and not on the weekend and I had to order from the regular menu. So I said its the same meal and she said yes. She took our order and left. 30 minutes from the time we ordered and I saw people who came in after us eat their food and get ready to leave. I checked my cell and it had been 40 minutes since we arrived into the restaurant. My husband asked if i had seen our server...and i said Nope...its like she disappeared...but in fact had gone to break. When she came back she was making her rounds to refill drinks and noticed we did not have food. She went to the computer where they put in the food orders...and it was right beside our table...and we could hear...Oh no...oh boy...and then she came out apologizing...folks i got so busy then went on break and forgot to place your food order...at that point we should have walked out and gone across the street to Olive Garden. She apologized over and over ..asked if we wanted chips and salsa...or soup..or salad...and we said no. She them said i will get the Manager and he will do something about your bill. Well we didnt see her or the manager until our food was ready ..she brought out my fajitas...my husbands Ribs...and goes oh i just need to grab your toppings( sour cream , pico, cheese) and will be right back. and instead of going to the kitchen to get it she went to the next table to take their order...and there I sat...not able to eat until she brought my toppings.. I was angry and upset...my food was not the same as the lunch portion....no rice...no beans and no Guac...and i got a pale hardly grilled chicken breast on some peppers and onions...corn tortillas that looked old and awful and some sour cream, cheese and pico. The cost was double the the lunch portion. Halfway through the meal she brought two more waters...which My husband was drinking Ice tea..no refill for him. and then came back with the bill mumbled in shame something about comping the fajita meal and the manager and left. The manager of this location should be checking in with guests as they come to the end of the their meals...and this server...should find a job elsewhere. We will NEVER be returning to a Chilis because of this one experience. There are so many other better run places to eat...thats its not even worth my while. I can't even remember a time I had a meal that was so horrible..and a server who cared so little. So be warned.. I had almost 2 hours to watch the server...some were fabulous...this one...get a new job...and you know...

Updated review! 1st one since we can cross the border again. Since 1st week of December 2021 we finally made it back last Friday night April 1st/22 & again April 3rd/22. We didn't plan on the 2nd visit in 2 days except Applebees next door was a total bomb from beginning to when the food arrived. We Left and went to Chilis. We were starving at this point. MAX, the new manager, Julie & Elizabeth and the kitchen staff saved the day within far less time then the hour we had at the next door place!!! Seated in record time. Greeted by server in no time at all and received cuttlery prior to the food. Drinks came within 5 minutes and one of the best home-made burgers ever!! Everything came as ordered and it was a 10 out of 10 experience. Shawny and Gianna and Max made our Friday night dinner great also. Applebees clearly has gone downhill because of staff that work there. Don't waste your time. Go to CHILI'S! They've got what it takes for a true casual dining experience!Happy and attentive staff, knowledgeable and great value for the money! Keep up the great job both F.O.H and B.O.H!!! AKA front of the house staff and back of the house staff!

Dec 2021: Haven't been here in 2 years since just before the pandemic hit, we live across the border in Niagara Falls and my father and mother always wanted to go across the border. This was one of our favorite restaurants!! This was our 2nd visit in 4 days across the border but we had to come here as it was 1 of my dad's favorites and sadly we lost him in July. My mom and I had a couple of our favorites. We are so glad that you carry awesome blossom onion petals now as they were absolutely fabulous and my mom loved her favorite Southwest chicken soup!! Lena was our waitress in the restaurant side and we couldn't have been happier as she was extremely friendly, cheerful, had a friendly smile and very accommodating! This young lady is a great asset to your restaurant as prior to the pandemic, a lot of the serving staff and management were not so great!!! That's why we even had stopped coming here for a short time. The pandemic seems to have served you and us as well in one respect!! We are grateful for the changeover in staff. We'll be back for Lena and the new menu and...

Dined in originally. Ordered a water to start while I looked at the menu. I’ve been to chillis back where i live many times/ ordered pick up. Within 2 minutes of my water being delivered the waiter came back again to see if i was ready to order. With 2 minutes of time.. i was not. But I was polite snd said I needed more time. While looking at the menu theres some sticky substance on the laminated page.. kinda gross. But i ignore it and decide on what I’d get. Looking around, as I’m seated at a booth by myself I noticed a lot of disgusting crumbs and debris like little bits of food.. hair etc in the part of the table where it attaches to the wall. Sitting within the caulking. Another thing I noticed was the seat, in the crack between the headboard/backboard and the bottom seat.. a ton of debris that was probably food, hair skin cells etc… at this point im extremely turned off. I ask the waiter to please bring my soup but everything else I’d like packed to go. At this point the bathroom was cleaner than my eating area and I’d much rather eat in my car. Looking up, the light that dangled down was absolutely covered in thick coat of dust and grime. Which honestly could be falling onto the table and or peoples food..

I watched the hostess clean off the table in front of my booth. And it shows exactly why the table is so dirty where im sitting as she took what looked like a once upon a time white rag, that was really moist but dingy and brown to the tables surface spraying one spray of whatever she had in the bottle and running it across the table in two small circles. Not paying any attention at all to proper hygiene standards.. more than half the table wasn’t touched with the rag or surface cleaning spray. And the floor below my own feet.. absolutely disgusting. You’d think at least they’d take a broom to the carpet between tables.

And with all of this, the food was really beyond sub par it was really disgusting. I do not recommend this...
