Niagara Falls Buffet is a buffet filled with delicious Asian cuisines. The restaurant itself has its fair share of satisfactory characteristics, but there are a few that are sub-par and are quite concerning.
First, I appreciate the restaurant’s attention to detail in ensuring proper safety measures and going above and beyond to protect their customers from COVID. First, customers are required to wear gloves (which they distribute for free when you first enter the restaurant and are also available on a small desk near the back of the restaurant) in order to hold the public serving utensils. Face masks are also required to be worn when you are not eating. The staff are very friendly and were helpful to us when we got our table. There is a good selection of food and this was satisfactory according to my standards.
Unfortunately, there were many un-satisfactory aspects of the restaurant that must be addressed. For one, the selection of food was good, but could have been better. Comparing this restaurant to other restaurants of this type, the selection was lacking. For example, in other restaurants, there would be a wider variety of fish available (such as salmon), which was not present in this restaurant. Second, the cashier had a very bad attitude towards the customers. We asked her to list all available pre-made meals for purchase. When asked to repeat the list, we were told that “[she] just [recited] the list and will not be saying it again”. This level of behavior was unacceptable and immature.
Finally, dishonesty is one thing I do not tolerate. Upon doing some research, the area of Niagara County has a sales tax of 8%. Our bill, on the other hand, included a state sales tax of 13%. That was almost twice the state sales tax. This deceitful action was dishonest. I understand adding a gratuity to the bill, but creating an incorrect and illegitimate state sales tax value is blatantly unacceptable. Upon disputing the value with the cashier of this restaurant, we were met with rude remarks and were refused a fortune cookie (which other customers who exited the restaurant got).
Overall, the actions of this restaurant were completely unacceptable and sub-par. Through the rude and immature marks of the cashier and the illegitimate and inaccurate state tax values on our bill, we will most definitely not be returning to this restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody. To management, I recommend you fix these issues as soon...
Read morei went to this restaurant a few times and had a few negative experiences while dining there. to start, the staff is very unprofessional and rude. while the food is great the service sucks. i was eating dinner one night with friends and the waitress came over and demanded to know why i didnt leave a tip the last time i ate there. when i didnt have an answer due to being in shock from being asked such a thing she refilled my beverage and splattered my drink on the table. on another occasion the waitress, when giving me a refill, poured pop in my cup from another glass full of soda instead of dispensing the soda from the machine. finally i went there again to have dinner at 9 with a friend, as we were eating they started to remove the food from the buffet. and to top it all off the waitress came over to our table after being there 15 minutes and sat down at the table adjacent to us complaining we were taking too long and wanted to know if we were finished and if not, to hurry up. and if thats not bad enough, when we were finished she demanded a tip and wanted to know how much it would be. after leaving the waitress a tip she clearly didnt deserve for her attitude when we were leaving we could hear her mocking us and the tip we left her. dont go here terrible service!!!! they make u feel as if a tip is mandatory. plus,.when they come to your table to give you your first drink the waitress doesnt come back and your left with an empty glass and several accumulating plates. be...
Read moreIt was 2:30pm (lunch time) when my daughter treated me to Chinese food and we chose to eat here because past experiences were all positive. This time we had a bit of an issue, idk if it was a language barrier thing or what but it upset me none the less. Now sitting here about to tell of my luch date issue it seems so small and insignificant but at the time like I said I was truly upset, well here goes nothing.... When we were being led to our table by the host(everywhere time we picked our where we sat ourselves) I noted there was only 3 tables occupied and all 3 were so close they we literally touching, I wanted a bit of privacy, the other guests were elderly and I didn't think they would like our choice of language or topics at times so out of respect I asked to be moved to a more secluded table. What did the host do? He moves us directly across from the old couple instead of behind them, I once again asked for a different table and added some kind of stupid hand motion to say something to that effect and what does he do? NOTHING, SAY NOTHING, just turns and walks away like he earned another gold star for seating guests! Hasn't he heard there has been a worldwide pandemic for the last 2+ years???? People don't want to be close to strangers without masks on.expecially old ones who are at a much higher risk of the COVID-19 virus being fatal or at least be hospitalized with life threatening symptoms. I was speechless, but yeah okay the...
