I order all of my Chinese food from here, they have a big area in which they'll deliver to which is always convenient and has been a big reason they keep my service! I've had both great and bad experiences here when it comes to food quality however, I've had times where I've ordered and ate a very nice meal and others where I felt like it was made by me, someone with no knowledge of making Chinese food, in my kitchen.
Me and my boyfriend almost always order the same things since we know what we like, some of our favorites are their pork fried rice, white rice, beef with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and eggrolls. The most consistent thing from there is definitely the rice, I've yet to have a bad experience eating their rice and they give you a lot of it too! Each main course you order (sesame chicken for example) comes with a small white rice as well which is great! I order their beef with broccoli everytime as well because that's my favorite, I've only had one bad time with ordering this and that one time I felt like the chicken felt rubbery. Other than that one time (which happened over a year ago now) I've adored it. It has a great amount of sauce it soaks in, the broccoli is cooked perfectly and so is the beef and it overall just fits together really good! My boyfriend is a fan of the sweet and sour chicken, I can't really say much because it's hard to mess up something so simple, so if you want guaranteed quality thas a good choice. I've never really liked their sesame chicken, ever. It doesn't have the signature taste that I've grown accustomed to when ordering it from other places and the chicken feels quite soggy or too crunchy sometimes, never in the middle where it should be; I'd steer away from this on the menu. Eggrolls however are a favorite in my family, I've seen some negative reviews of them on here but I've always enjoyed them and have never had a "bad eggroll."
The service there is very good, all the workers seem genuine and in a good mood everytime I go there and are more than willing to talk with me while I wait for my food. I've seen complaints about people not being to understand the workers accents while ordering over the phone but I've never had someone with an accent so thick that I wasn't able to understand them, and I order from them quite often. The only thing is the inside of the restaurant has had some bad days while I've been in there, I've sat near the windows and seen visible dust, spiderwebs and dirt around them. This is actually the reason I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 4, because you need to keep a restaurant at a certain standard so people will want to eat their food inside.
Overall, I have mostly positive experiences with all of their food except their sesame chicken, which I strongly don't recommend ordering due to a lack of quality. The service is great, the workers are positive and upbeat which gives the restaurant a good feeling aside from the visible uncleanness near the front windows where they seem to forget to clean. They have a wide delivery range and can deliver VERY far for a small extra fee which is one of my favorite things they do. I also love how each main course comes with a small rice for free to accompany it! I like this place, I like their food and I like their employees, however I dislike the unkept parts of their restaurant and it steers me from...
Read morePoor customer service, handling of confrontational matters, and overall rude staff. Its no wonder most people I ask go to kyomis, technically japanese, for chinese food. This is coming from someone chinese in nyc, you upstate people are far more agreeable than us and cause less trouble. Which is awesome. But they take advantage of that. I mean they charge you guys $4 for delivery--despite having multiple drivers, a short delivery range, and still get mad if you dont tip. Guess how much they charge downstate in busier towns with better food that dont cut corners? not that. Yall getting cheated out here cause there are less options
Edit: adding parts I left out as I didnt want things too crazy but some things the restaurant said in reply needs attention. I been coming here since 2017. And I've tipped nearly every time, I love supporting fellow asians. However, every time I did not, driver would often get mad and say "just pick up next time". Which is outrageous to say. Its never the Oswego locals hired as drivers btw, its always their drivers. When I called about this. They say something similar as the reply, except the lady said tips** goes towards gas, car repair etc. Excuse me? With an already $4 delivery charge, for a small town. Which btw doesnt go to gas etc, I've asked the drivers. They dont see that money, and since its the drivers own car--what gas and maintenance? Lady also said they cant talk to the driver since drivers paid hourly, so they dont want to rock the boat---that theres nothing they can do and to pick up instead. Basically telling us that they dont pay drivers enough and have no control over the drivers actions. Love hearing that. I love supporting my people, but that also means my standards are just as...
Read moreOrdered from them because I was sick and didn't want to go out and they deliver unlike the other Chinese places. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, got egg drop instead, but I was going to eat anyways thinking it wouldn't be worth the trouble to try to get them to replace it. Took one bite, soup was rotten (and barely warm, so I assume it was left sitting out ). I was almost afraid to try the entrees...they weren't rotten at least, but it wasn't the Hunan beef or General Tso's chicken we ordered - there wasn't the slightest bit of spice to either dish and I couldn't even figure out what the chicken was supposed to be. It was closer to Sweet & Sour than General Tso's but it was just sour, not sweet at all and definitely not spicy. After the soup, I was worried that the sour taste was due to spoilage rather than being poorly prepared, so I threw it away after one bite. Crab rangoons were all cream cheese and no crab. On the plus side they actually do deliver and the prices are very reasonable, but I'd rather order pick-up and not have questionable food. UPDATE: Fast forward three years, we decided to give them another try in hopes that our first experience was just a bad night. Once again, we received cold soup (it was the correct kind this time, but it was sour without the slightest bit of "hot"). Lo mein was bland and mushy. Spring rolls were excellent, and egg foo young was pretty decent, but the sauce was on the bland side. Still no crab in the crab rangoon, they were just cream cheese wontons. Delivery guy was friendly & fast, so no complaints there, but for food taste and quality I'll stick to KQ or Dragon City...
