Food: 10/10 The best sandwich I’ve ever had is at Benny’s Brown Bag. I took a hiking trip to Peekskill from Brooklyn and lucked out finding this gem! Every sandwich is unique, and the menu stays interesting with exciting specials and scrumptious homemade sauces. Follow them on Instagram! My favorite is the veggie stack. It’s loaded up and massive like all of their sandwiches, packed with flavor, and topped with the perfect amount of salted cucumber and pickled cabbage. I’ve taken the Metro North from NYC just to come back here, and the food is consistently well-prepared and tasty. I’ve never had to wait long, and I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options that are creative and super flavorful. Also the best macaroni salad I’ve ever had. Everything is very reasonably priced, if not underpriced. They also have super affordable items for kids and students, too.

Service: 10/10 The environment is welcoming, and everyone working there is friendly and kind. They constantly promote other local businesses and restaurants, and you can tell they’re beloved by the community.

This is our second time ordering from Benny's BB. My son found this little gem and brought home sandwiches and absolutely super fresh and delicious! So being it is Valentine's my wife suggested getting Sandwiches from Benny's. She didn't have to twist my arm!! My wife had the Southern fried chicken sandwich. My son had the Fox Choker Chicken sandwich. As for me I rarely get turkey but decided on the chili crisp turkey on a chibatta. I placed the order and right off the bat was impressed by the gentleman who took the order. Super pro, patient and accommodating. Took the ride with my wife and what a great little place with a friendly chill vibe. Super friendly staff, the owner is a sweetheart and you can see the appreciation she has for her customers! Benny's brings together fantastic sandwiches, an easygoing atmosphere, and an attentive, kind team. Drinks, chips, sandwich sides, and a well-stocked beer fridge help round out your visit. Be sure to save room for the banana pudding, which has large, fresh chunks of banana, a rich, creamy whipped cream, and a wafer base. The Thai Fried Chicken sandwich has two generous, well-breaded, and cooked pieces of chicken, and is completed with thinly sliced apple, a house-made slaw, and a sweet, tangy sauce, served on a seeded roll. If you're looking for something lighter and Vegan friendly, both the Sky-High Veggie Stack and the Buffalo Chickpea sandwich are fantastic options. Thick, grilled, marinated tofu on the Veggie stack pairs exceptionally well with pickled cabbage, cucumber, and tomato.
