My uncle had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a while so he, my aunt and I (total 3 adults) tried it tonight for dinner. He was a bit underwhelmed with his meal (aeropuerto Especial) because it only came with 2 small pieces of shrimp. My aunt and I enjoyed our meals (Lomo and pollo Saltado). We noticed and commented to each other that the waitress was nowhere to be found after taking our order. Another server brought our food and that was it. No one checked on us, no one refilled drinks or offered anything. My water was empty and my aunt and uncle had finished their beers before finishing their food. After eating we sat there for a while trying to find the waitress. I think it was obvious we were waiting for something, and finally our waitress came. Didn't offer anything additional so we asked for the bill. Upon reviewing the bill my uncle suggested we pay cash so we did and gave the server the payment and left. As we are walking to our car we were told by passerby's that a waitress (not ours) was banging on the window trying to get our attention. My uncle went back and spoke to her (again not even the female that took our order). He then comes back to us to tell us that she was trying to say that we were supposed to give 20% tip and that's why it was on our bill- (I didn't not see the bill so I don't know how it was marked but a service fee wasn't listed on the menu, nor was signage visible nor was that expressed before placing an order- We gave 15% and even that was too generous)... my uncle stated that tip isn't mandatory and tip is dependent on service and the service wasn't good. At hearing that the woman said oh ok and left. I have NEVER experienced this before, and I was shocked at the audacity to chase after customers and demand a higher tip. The Customer Service was NONEXISTENT.. we didn't even complain and we were very polite while in the restaurant, even with the poor service. As I read other reviews this seems to be a common theme. It's very disappointing because not only did they lose a customer but also potential customers because I will definitely be sharing my experience with others. The food was good so the potential is there, but the staff needs to be evaluated because they are Bad...
Read moreThe food is good and some dishes are very well done, you have to go and try all dishes because peru have so much to offer in food, they have one of the best cousine in the world, we just need to let all know so they can come and try it. I don't think the services is bad like other said it, is just the restaurant was build before they move in; and they have different rooms across the middle hallway. The only bad thing I can mention, is I don't agree, why in a Peruvian restaurant they play Mexican music or other than Peruvian...Mexican and other music are good, I like them and play them at home. Peru have an amazing diversity of music from the the cost mountains and jungle so why to play other music. I went to mexican, greek and Indian restaurants and they do not play Peruvian or hip hop music, always their music...hope owners can change this. I am not sure this is only a random issue because the other day I ordered food to pick up and they were playing Peruvian music. The girl who served me say the sing is from the ju...

Then she blamed all on me, she said the delivery guau called me many times but I never picked up the phone. Guess what they had a wrong number!!!! When I asked her to please change my number, she said she couldnât âbecause that is the number they have in the systemâ!!!! She didnât take responsibility for anything. On top of all, when I asked to re-deliver my order, she said it was not posible, and that to get a refund, I had to cancel my order. In the past few months I had 3 deliveries from this place, and they called me at my current phone # without any problem. Good luck to anyone who deal with this La Gladis...
