I’m not sure what’s worse..the service or the food. Since when does a large, dinner size chicken and broccoli not feed a 7 year old? All they did was sneak about 6 pieces of shredded chicken into a large container of broccoli. The best part was they’re very rude response...”you have to pay for extra chicken”. Why would I pay extra for the appropriate amount of chicken? I decided to let it go and feed my son some sesame noodles that we ordered. Unfortunately it was just noodles with a small teaspoon size (no exaggeration) of sauce. So I called back. The woman on the phone yelled at me and told me I had to ask for extra sauce, and than said if I don’t like they’re food to not order from them again, and than hung up on me. I wish I read previous reviews warning about the service and quality. You would think during this epidemic they would be appreciative of people ordering take out to help these businesses survive. It really is shame and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreI grow up in the Bronx, and I really miss the Chinese food there. I moved to Peekskill 2 years ago, and have ordered from three local Chinese restaurant's. This is an honest review of no.1 Chinese restaurant.
Not in any specific order:
They deliver their food promptly, and it's always hot. Their menu is very affordable. Food is always very tasty, and fresh. They have a tendency to over cook the chicken on occasion. 4 - 5 times, you will get a good portioned plate. Every now and then, very cheap. They don't always deliver the food, in the way you order it. Examples: You order shrimp, and ask for tartar sauce. The person on the phone will say, "We don't have that here." A week ago, they sent three packets. You ask for no vegetables on your fried rice. Again. Every now and then, they slip up.
I give them 4 stars, When comparing to other take out...
Read moreBefore for delivery they had a limit of $15 (which I already thought was ridiculous) and now the limit for takeout is $20. A meal for myself does not cost $20. So instead I now order my food from China Wok. Their restaurant is just as close, just as good and the limit for delivery is only $10. Also, no. 1 has poor customer service. Instead of telling the customer nicely they have a limit of $20, they rudely just demand you order more food until you cancel your order or meet their demands. I’ll probably never order from here again unless it’s for a large group of people. Usually when I order for my family of five the total comes out to $40. So I still fail to understand why I have to spend $20 on takeout for one, when that’s how much I’d usually spend to sit down and be waited on at an...
