This long open restaurant has new ownership about two months ago. Planning to change name to Thali I think. Our first time coming since, and so glad we did. We weren’t the biggest fans of the old version. Now, you can tell the food quality is much better. We overheard the waiter telling another table that the chefs are new and from India. We spoke with the owner throughout our time there who was very welcoming and hospitable. You can tell he wants this to succeed. We had the Dosa Masala app which was wonderful (and fab chutneys), yellow daal, and the star was Chicken Chettinad- which we never had. Like chicken tikka masala but deeper, richer, perfect medium spice, and more complex spices. Finished with Gulab Jamun- little fried dough balls in honey syrup. Delicious. Loved it all. Definitely a different and better experience than previous management.

Cannot rave about this restaurant & the lovely owners enough! After an exhausting travel day, my grammy, aunt, & I were looking for a quick spot to fill up - we couldn't have picked a more perfect place! Their weekend buffet had a plethora of incredible options, which was a pleasant surprise considering we're all 3 plant based. The veggie cutlets, aloo baingan, & yellow dal were my personal favorites. The buffet also included drinks, & the mango lassi was the best I've ever had! The 2 owners who helped us were so genuinely kind & attentive. We are so pleased to have stumbled upon a new favorite restaurant!

This place is a gem! I had lunch with my mom and aunt here about a month ago and we thought the buffet and included desserts were excellent. As a vegetarian, I was expecting to fill up on naan and just pick a bit but there were several options here. And our sever, Adi, was delightful! She stayed by our table for a while and we enjoyed chatting with her. When she heard that my birthday was the day before, she went to prepare a surprise, personalized dessert spread for us- on the house! They make a great mango lassi, too. We loved this place and will definitely return.

[We are all going to miss Raj' and we wish him well in his next endeavor]. [ OK, so this part includes references to the buffet, which IS OPERATIONAL AGAIN ON WEEKENDS.

WHEN It is sit down, and each dish is prepared to order, things take longer. Statements about the food taste and quality hold; it is even better since it is made to order.

BUFFET: The food is very tasty and reasonably priced (not as many choices as pre-Covid). You can be in and out in as little as 15 minutes; They also do take-away from the buffet at a per serving fixed price. People with dietary considerations KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS IN EVERY DISH, and I mean far better than most places. There are gluten-free, vegetarian, fish/meat-free, and dairy-free options (ghee is technically dairy, though better tolerated by some). Numerous dishes include nuts (cashews, almonds & I think, peanuts; BUT that's it nut-wise (ask) & they do know exactly which ones). While not the finest Indian food I've had (70, up to 85%-ish; occasionally they absolutely ace a dish or two: Among the best Chettinad dishes I ever had was here), both the evening a la carte & the buffet are the best Indian food in the area (if you know of better, or even as good, please post). The staff are subdued-polite, ' sometimes seem distant but always cordial; until you get to know them: Then they are openly friendly, engaging, very warm. The restaurant is neat, simply decorated & reasonably clean. They are somewhat reluctant to seat people late in the buffet session -at least those whom they don't already know how long it takes ' to eat- so if they don't know you already, consider showing up with at least half an hour until the buffet ends. They only have mango syrup Lassi; no salt, or sour Lassi (that is sad). There is a good selection of chutney and pickles at the very simple salad bar. There are usually two choices of rice: plain and variable flavored rice to keep regulars interested.

The vegetable dishes are subtle but flavourful and you really don't miss the meat/protein at all. The Vindalu is -of course- quite spicy (don't bother if you don't at least like quite a spicy Mexican, Thai, or medium chicken wings), but not like some places where it is physically painful (they are happy to give you a hot pepper to spice it up). Solid, earthy (sometimes indistinct) curries with a nice selection of goat, fish, chicken, dal, and vegetables round out the menu. The Nan is good and fresh. Day to day the desert ranges from simple/plain to rich and is usually good, though often not to American tastes. The buffet is distinctly better earlier in each session. The evening a la carte is a distinctly more refined food preparation experience with many more menu choices. Note: Customer experiences are varied here, and it has a lot to do with different cultural expectations, but my family considers this place and its long-term staff a...

The size of the portions are inconsistent and was not worth the cost we paid. Both chicken dishes had maybe 6-7 small pieces of chicken. My wife and I both ordered medium spice but hers was was more over seasoned than mine and not edible. We spent $80 for 3 meals an appetizer and extra Nann bread. That probably should have been closer to $60. I ordered my food online at 5:30 and was quoted 20-25 min. I showed up at 6:05 (because last time I was there the same thing happened) I ended sitting and waiting another 35 minutes for my pick order to be completed (3 regular size dishes and wings) with no offers of a comp or an added side. Never again will i be coming back, your customer service and food quality is poor and not worth the cost. I will never recommend anyone amd will advise people to stay away. During my 35 minute time waiting for my food, my next door neighbor walks in, sits next to me, and then has to wait another 20 min, ( after she ordered 40 minutes prior) only to get home to have raw chicken.

This place is a waste if time and money and is 100% not something I would recommend or be...

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant, and I must say the experience was fantastic! The food was incredibly tasty, and the arrangements were spot on. I called just an hour before arriving to request a table for 10, and everything was perfectly set up when we got there. The service was exceptional—quick and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

One suggestion for the restaurant: it would be great to have a clear menu for guests. I was given a QR code to scan for the menu, but it directed me to the Menufy app, which I didn’t realize at first. I ended up ordering and paying through the app and later I realised that they had few other local dishes which I would have definitely tried if available in the menu. While this wasn’t a big issue considering the excellent service and quality of food, it could be confusing for customers. Clarifying this would definitely enhance the overall experience.

Overall, a highly recommended spot for anyone looking to enjoy some delicious...
