Olive Ridley's Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Plattsburgh

Thoroughly disappointed in my experience. Was attempting to report a man at the bar who had groping and grabbing women on the dance floor and in the process was asked to leave.

I had brushed by a man trying to make the report and the man was upset I had said “excuse me” rather than “excuse me please” I had apologized and explained to the man what I was trying to do, and he responded with “I don’t care you don’t matter. I know the bar tender here and I’m going to kick you out.”

I had responded with I do not care if I’m kicked out, I just want the man who was openly grabbing and bothering women on the dance floor to be reported. And I had been not even minutes later asked to leave, not before pointing out the man on the dance floor.

I’ve always felt safe at Olive Ridley’s despite the recent events that have happened there, but this event has opened my eyes.

The bouncers and bartenders are easily bought with tips and frequent regulars. And that makes the establishment unsafe, I’ve asked the company to review the footage and their policy’s regarding these events.

I personally no longer feel safe at this establishment, and it’s no wonder there have been so many drugging incidents and fights at this place. I do not go out often however I don’t know if I will go to Olive Ridley’s again, either for food or entertainment for...

Good atmosphere for a bar. The drinks were good.

We had never tried food at Ridleys before, and even though we had been told by others the food ranged from mediocre to bad, we thought we'd try it ourselves. We ordered: Spinach Artichoke Dip: On the same level as if I had run to the nearest dollar general and gotten their cheapest tortilla chips and frozen dip and microwaved it. Below average for bar spinach artichoke dip. Fish And Chips: Asked our server if it was a good dish to choose and was told it was. A large section of the fish was burnt and was overall below average for bar fish and chips. The fries were adequate for a bar serving. Chicken Sando: Adequate sandwich for a bar.

The worst part: The service. Our Server came to us to collect our orders. She didn't come back to our table again until 40 minutes after we had finished our meal. No check in to see how our food was, no asking us if we would like another drink until that 40 minutes had passed. The dining area was moderately full, but there were people who came in after us and left before us.

If someone were to ask for suggestions to dine out in downtown Plattsburgh, I'd never suggest Olive Ridleys. We won't be...

IN SHORT: There is no accountability for the workers here and when asking for help as I was too drunk they did not help me.

I was part of an altercation (which was incorrectly described) two weeks ago. I was too drunk and ask the bouncer Jake to help me find my boyfriends car as he was sleeping in there waiting for me. He said when they closed (this was around 1-2am) so I was assuming he could help me soon. I was alone and too drunk and not from the US. The girls I were with was accusing me of things that didn’t happen and that’s when one of them attacked me. I was attacked by two girls before it was intervened by Heather the “bouncer” who at that point I thought was just another person attacking me.
